We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Ikomoni and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandria, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in the Bronx, New York. My mom is Jamaican and my dad is Nigerian. I moved to Atlanta when I was 6. My background taught me to work hard and never settle for anything I want in life. My family drives my passion. I do this for myself and my future family but also to make my parents proud. I love also being able to be in the real estate business with my family.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a luxury homes realtor in the metro Atlanta area. My brokerage works with clientele within the entertainment, sports and professional industries. I believe everyone should get the chance to own real estate. I work to educate my clients while helping accomplish their real estate goals while maintaining an enjoyable and luxurious experience. I believe in going above and beyond for my clients especially when this process can be overwhelming and unfamiliar to them.
My family has always been in the real estate business.. My dad was a very successful broker in New York. My mom had a successful mortgage company in New York. When they moved to Atlanta, they decided to focus on investments and create passive income for their family. They taught me everything I know about real estate, financial freedom and creating generational wealth.
I’m also a TV News Anchor and Host. I’ve worked with NBC, CBS and FOX affiliates stations. I’ve been in the news business for almost 6 years now. I’m currently an anchor and host with iHeartMedia based in Atlanta.
I am a multimillion dollar real estate producer and named top 15 Atlanta real estate agents on social media.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh, we are BRUNCHIN’!!! I live for brunch. We aren’t friends if you don’t know that. We’ll brunch, do some shopping, find a rooftop bar, take amazing pictures somewhere for the ‘gram, then hang out at home, binge watch a show and end the night making a charcuterie board paired with wine. I don’t like being out late. I’ll be the one falling asleep at a lounge. I work HARD all day every day. I need sleep.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family– Angela (mom), Alexander (dad), Natassia (sister) and AJ (brother). They’re my biggest supporters. Their unconditional love fills me up especially when I need it most.
