We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Clinton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was the importance of me making a difference in this world and fulfilling my purpose. I believe we are all here on Earth to fulfill our unique purposes. I entered into a pivotal point in my life where I felt it was time to go in a different direction which was fulfilling my purpose. This began the creation of my business, Talks With Alex.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Certified Life Coach planning to work with teenagers and young adults in the our school systems. I’m excited about the difference that I’ll be making as I am passionate about decreasing the number of mass shootings by focusing on the mental health and well-being of our youth. I am currently as studying to get my Masters in Psychology and have about 4 months until completed then heading into the Doctorate program right after. Even though education for life coaching is not required, I want to be the best I can be in my career and build trust.

I have learned that great things do take time and that if you keep going it will all be worth it!

I want people to know that I know what it feels like to overcome addiction, bullying, low self-esteem, depression, no confidence, and abuse. My focus is to help our youth overcome anything that is threatening their mental health and become better versions of themselves. If I can do it, I know anyone can too. I am a living testimony and I want to encourage all of our youth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the high museum, Georgia aquarium, Sip & paint activity, really good restaurants, comedy shows, stage plays, and a festival in Piedmont Park. These are the most fun and interesting things to check out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first shoutout God. He gave me the vision for my purpose and ignited a fire in me to go for it! I also would like to thank my daughter, Ariel. She inspires and motivates me everyday. I would like to thank my mom as well. She supports me in so many ways.
