Meet Alexandra Bonner | Filmmaker | photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Bonner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandra, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What truly brings me happiness is pursuing in the activities I am passionate about. When it comes to film and photography, I often find myself saying, “I am doing what I love,” because these pursuits genuinely fill me with joy. They allow me to express my creativity, dive in my hobbies, and experience a deep sense of fulfillment. In addition, spending quality time with my friends and family is a source of great happiness. Their presence makes me feel constantly appreciated, loved, and valued. I am incredibly grateful and blessed to have such wonderful people in my life, whose support and kindness makes everyday worth living more.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud of how much I have achieved and accomplished at such a young age, and I am excited to accomplish even more. I have gotten this far because I work diligently day and night, knowing what I want in life and how I am going to get it. Throughout my journey so far, I have learned the importance of motivation, confidence, sisterhood, and just how being kind to others goes a long way. Every journey comes with challenges, and I have tackled those challenges with prayer and the support of my loved ones. I want people to know that you can do anything you put your mind to. Just keep doing you, and work hard toward your goals, because you can make it happen.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I’d take her to the beach for sure. Florida is known for their beaches, so I think that, and walking along the board walk would be something fun to do. I would also have her check out Orlando, and maybe visit Disney World or Universal! Both are fun and have great eats.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Black Girls Film camp is an organisation that I work love to shout out. They have dedicated so much time, love, trust, and patience in to me, giving me so many recourses and support fuelling my filmmaking journey. They have also provided me with an unforgettable sisterhood.
