We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexa Ben-Israel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
As a result of my obedience, I have been able to achieve success in my life. According to Webster’s Dictionary, this is an act or instance of obeying, but obedience is often considered a dirty word. If I were to define obedience, I would see it as a training ground for what the Lord is preparing to bless you with, and the question is whether he can trust you to be there, show up, or if you are just going to come collect, and then leave. As a result of trusting in God “ELOHIM” and knowing that all things will work out according to his plan and not mine, my success has been a direct result of trusting and knowing what God has required me to do.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It is the discovery of one’s true self that sets a person apart from the rest. The moment you become aware of who you are and what you do, you become excited because you are no longer subjected to lies or setbacks. The moment you devote your life to asking the hard questions it creates a discovery. That the answers are right in front of you, the wake-up call that you needed.
Every journey in life is unique, and I refuse to define it as easy or difficult. I will say that it was interesting and unexpected. Due to the fact that I was not alone, I was able to overcome the challenges. The Apostle John writes If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. In John 15:19, it is said.
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Ephesians 2:19.
There was one lesson I learned along the way that changed everything for me, and that was forgiveness. Too many times in our society we are taught to hold grudges, but this does not bring any peace to our lives, instead it becomes a mountain to climb.
An individual is now carrying this boulder
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. This was the obstacle in my path, and while it means this is not easy it’s a choice that can make or break someone’s life.
It does not mean you must forgive and continue to bring it up over and over again. Instead, it is about forgiving and letting it go so that it no longer exists. If you do not, you will be hindering your own forgiveness from the Lord and in turn working for the enemy if you do not.
As for my Brand, it is simple, make a decision and cultivate what God wants you to do and everything else will be added to you. You will find that often times your goals and dreams are too small, and that you have place limits on the Lord. To many times we place him in a box that he can’t even fit into. Which then places him on hold. Through community, love and compassion, I live to win souls for the Lord through my role as a Kingdom Ambassador.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It would be my Root System that deserves a shoutout. While growing up in the beautiful St.Croix United States Virgin Islands, my late grandmother Irenia and my mother Jerolyn taught me values and morals that I still hold dear today. Further, my “Nene”, my spiritual mother Eunice Heyliger, made sure that I learned many values including church, womanhood, honor and respect. It is imperative that we take the time to make sure that we carry ourselves well, from effective first impressions, and prepare not just for life but also for our time when God “ELOHIM” calls. In the best sense of the word, I was brought up in a community that took the time to keep me grounded in becoming the best version of myself in whatever I wanted to do for the kingdom.
I did not dance alone; I had a team that was always willing to stand up for me and fight for what God “ELOHIM” was doing in my life because it was not about me but about what God was doing in my life. Even when I did not believe in myself, there were others that did and I am thankful they took the time to believe in me and the vision he had for me.
