Hi Alex, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started Stuff N Thangz because I had a burning desire to bring to life creations that I hadn’t seen anywhere else. The idea of crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art using resin and pyrography techniques fascinated me from the moment I was introduced to them in 2004. The combination of resin’s versatility and pyrography’s intricate designs sparked my imagination, and I knew I had stumbled upon something special. It was this fusion of mediums that inspired me to embark on my entrepreneurial journey.

My thought process behind starting Stuff N Thangz was deeply rooted in my passion for creating and my commitment to producing high-quality, exclusive products. I wanted to showcase the beauty and potential of resin-made items in a way that hadn’t been done before. From purses and jewelry to clocks, trays, keychains, and accessories, each piece I craft is a labor of love, meticulously designed and handcrafted to perfection. My dedication to my craft and my desire to share it with the world led me to establish Stuff N Thangz, where I could turn my creative vision into reality and offer customers truly unique pieces that they couldn’t find anywhere else.

I am most proud of the journey I’ve undertaken in conquering resin art, from humble beginnings to achieving a level of skill and creativity that constantly excites me. Each piece I create is a testament to my dedication and passion, and I am thrilled to continue exploring new techniques and pushing the boundaries of this captivating medium.

Some of the most fun, interesting, and exciting places to check out locally are the hidden gems tucked away in our vibrant neighborhoods, each with its own unique charm and character waiting to be discovered. From quaint cafes serving artisanal coffee to eclectic boutiques showcasing local artists’ work, there’s always something new and exciting to explore just around the corner. Whether it’s a lively street festival celebrating our community’s diversity or a peaceful park offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, there’s no shortage of unforgettable experiences waiting to be had right in our own backyard.

We would explore the lush landscapes and captivating exhibits at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where you can wander through the Canopy Walk and marvel at the beauty of the Fuqua Orchid Center. Discover the city’s rich history at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, where you can tour the iconic Ebenezer Baptist Church and learn about the Civil Rights Movement. For a taste of Atlanta’s culinary scene, we will head over to Ponce City Market, which offers a diverse array of eateries and shops to satisfy every palate.
