We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent to impact my child is building her confidence to do everything she wants and be anybody she wants to be. I believe that our children learn more from watching us then actually listening to us. So I try my best to be a role model and show characteristics of a strong black educated woman. So my daughter will emulate and grow with.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, my career started at Copeland’s I rolled silverware for hours. I hated that job but it’s what got my foot in the door as I walked into 20+ years in the food and beverage industry. I’ve done everything from bussing tables, waiting tables, cooking, hosting, fine dining, fast food, etc. i love it! I like the chaos, all the people, and planning that goes into this industry. But my main love is the kitchen. I really enjoy cooking and it’s fun. In 2016 I relocated to a small town in Ga, and started a new job. At the time I saw this as another restaurant gig that I can work until my personal business takes off. Little did I know that this “job” would later turn into a career that has elevated me and my business over the years.
Fast forward to 2020, coronavirus shutdown, best time of my life! I know for the world it was grim and sad but for me it allowed me the time and opportunities to take that leap I’ve been hesitating on. As soon as my job released me, idk it was like a switch just flipped and I saw life so much differently. I really started to invest in myself, my development as a leader, cannabis expert, business women. Thankfully I have an uncle that is the guru of leadership development. Following his lead and doing the work. I was able to launch my company Edibles by Alex Inc.
Edibles by Alex Inc. Is a company that will elevate your tastebuds and leadership. Everyone deserves to chance to be great and just because you indulge in the 420 lifestyle, your shouldn’t be judged.. Cannabis is an amazing plant. Not just for it’s psycho active fun, and medicinal use. It’s very tasty and can take a bowl of your favorite dish from hmm to WOW!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would do everything there is to do. My friends and I are really random, we can have a plan but we always go off rails. We like to explore and have fun. So I would say we would start probably eating somewhere, Cracker Barrel, Pirates Boil, the house lol. We always start with food, then we wonder around the city making memories and Ig post. My favorite place to go is back in that small town. Local mom and pop shop The Water Tower Grille. Issa vibe!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I Dedicate this shoutout to my family & wife, because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be who I am & where I am today.

A lot of homosexual people talk about how dramatizing and unwelcoming their family is because of there lifestyle. I’m blessed to say that I’ve NEVER had to deal with that. Since I was little I’ve always been encouraged to live my truth. Just be me and be the best me I can be no matter what. I remember my mom telling me “You have to answer to God at the end of the day, live your life. I love you” I think I was 12 when she told me that. Lol nothings ever mattered ever since. I remember my dad told me “As long as she makes you better, i don’t care, I love you”. So I’ve always lived my truth.
Life goes on and we grow into the people that have influenced us throughout our life. Im blessed.
