We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Klein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my career has taught me is the power of resilience and being fearless. When I first started my business I had been out of the workforce while I raised my family. I kept a professional edge by staying involved in civic organizations but I knew it was time to get back to work that I was passionate about, Through my career I have learned it’s never too late to start something amazing. There have been bumps in the road during my career but the ability to adapt, recover and grow has made me stronger as a person and a business owner. Taking chances is an imperative part of being a business owner- whether its going out on your own, business pitches or putting yourself out there during networking opportunities. You can’t be afraid to take risks!
This journey has been all about embracing my individuality and creating a brand that reflects my values and unique approach to design. One of the ways I display resilience in my interior design business, Alex Klein Creative Designs, is its role in fostering innovation. Each project presents unique challenges that push me to think creatively and develop solutions- which I really think is the best part of the job! I love getting the think out of the box and be a part of a solution based service. Adaptability not only helps to overcome challenges but can also breakthrough s that open doors to new opportunities and styles.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Alex Klein Creative Designs is all about transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary showcases of comfort and inspiration. Our goal is to make your home a true reflection of your unique personality. We believe your home should be functional and fabulous!
The big lesson I have learned about business is that if you don’t take the risk you will always wonder what if. If you can build a business around your passion work will feed your soul. I love connecting with my clients and getting to know their families- and what is important to them. Nothing makes me happier that to know I have solved a problem for a client and turned a house into a home.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take a friend to some of my favorite restaurants in the area! For a week long trip we would be in Alpharetta Johns Creek for the weekdays. Some of my favorite spots would be running on the Big Creek Greenway and Shopping at Avalon. Some of my favorite restaurants in the ‘burbs include Salt, Hen Mother, True Food Kitchen, Thai Basil and for dinner- Lapeer and one41. For the weekend we would get out on OTP and head into town. My ideal weekend would be catching a show at the Fox or going to some amazing restaurants- my favorite restaurant in town is hands down Atlas, other spots to try include Anis, St. Cecilia, Lila Lila, and Alici to name a few. For drinks- I love a speakeasy vibe- love Blind Pig or Hitmitsu,
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutouts go to my amazing husband, Dave Klein, who is so supportive in every part of my life.
