We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Cottingham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The mission of HOLO HLTH is to help people become truly healthy: physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally & spiritually.

I started it because there are many businesses / organizations out there helping you get healthy in one, or a few, areas (i.e. the gym = physically healthy, the church = spiritually healthy, counselor = mentally healthy, etc).

But they all have the same goal . . . to be healthy.

So I sought out to create an organization that doesn’t isolate our approach to health but looks at each person holistically.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When you pursue a truly healthy life (physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, spiritually), you ultimately remove unnecessary limitations from your life (i.e. excess weight, crippling anxiety, etc).

And when you remove unnecessary limitations from your life, you gain greater levels of freedom.

That’s why health is freedom.

And that’s the message we want to spread. The healthier you are, the more freedom you have. In each area of your life. So here at HOLO HLTH, we look at the full picture. Every part of you. From your sleeping habits, nutrition habits, movement habits, levels of stress, level of community, purpose, faith, etc. We want to help people live an abundant life found in Christ that is available to everyone!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I did not grow up in ATL, so many family and friends have traveled to visit us here. We live in Cumming, GA, so we have taken our friends and family to the North Georgia mountains. Additionally, we have been to The Roxy, Avalon, Buckhead, Midtown, etc. And every single spot has to include yummy food . . . especially at The Local Woodfire Grill in Alpharetta. It’s amazing!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is my wife. She has been with me pre-HOLO HLTH, in the middle of it, and still continues to love and support me. She has given me space and margin to think and dream, time and energy to make it better, and always my biggest cheerleader! I love you Hannah.
