We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Bergland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, what matters most to you?
The value of trust is absolutely essential in my business. From day one I start establishing trust by being punctual to appointments, communicating clearly and often, and by approaching customers as an advocate rather than a salesman.

Trust is a currency and when it is established between me, my team, and our clients the project always goes smoothly and is enjoyable for everyone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Revive apart is our adaptability, ingenuity around difficult details, and we’re approachable.

The renovation industry in Atlanta is difficult for the average homeowner to navigate. I have a passion for helping people get what they really need even if it’s not from me because contractors are not one size fits all. We all have different levels of experience, skill, organization, ability, capability, and networks. With Revive I try my best to attract exactly the type of customer that we can mutually benefit with and help anyone else navigate what and who to look for in their own projects.

Something me and my team have been consistently good at over the years is finding solutions to difficult problems that are in the way of the design that the client wants to achieve. It’s very rare for me to say we can’t do something because I believe there is always a way and part of our success with that is having a network of highly skilled tradesman and artisans.

The renovation process is often loud, expensive, and long no matter how well you plan everything. We aim to always bring some levity to stressful situations and an eagerness to communicate through problems because that’s what gets us all to a solution faster. At the end of the day we try our very best on every detail while also remembering that our joy and mental health are the more important things in life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live In Marietta so I’d start off the morning at Tuesdays for coffee and take a walk on the mountain to river trail. If we could fit in a hike up kennesaw mountain I would do that for sure. For lunch I’d head downtown to EATS for the jerk chicken and then check out ponce city market. Botanical gardens would be great to see right before getting ready to go to dinner at little sparrow. Grab some dessert at Jeni’s ice cream and call it a day

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents raised me and my brother to value hard work and not be afraid of a problem. They gave me the attitude that failures are just opportunities to learn and get stronger. I would never have been able to have the business that I’m proud of now without so many talented people pitching in along the way and sharing their skills with me.
