We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Beano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Ive took a lot of risk that I probably shouldn’t have but thats the thing with risk, You gotta know that its a 50% chance things might not work out like you planned it. I can definitely say i’m a risk taker but you have to be one in the music industry or you’ll probably not see the results u want.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think anybody thats a Creative can say the road to success is not easy. Im most proud of the level of creativeness i have achieve over the years. who would of thought I would be producing, writing, mixing and mastering, making my own art work, directing and filming my own music videos and last but not least running my own label. It took me a long time to reach this level and I’m still feeling like this is just the beginning. I never really had all the right resources but made it work by learning new skills. One of the most important lesson’s Ive learned on my way to the top is if u want it enough you’ll figure out a way by any means. Also don’t get to caught up on finding the right people to support you. The right people will find you at the right time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite lunch spots at the moment is American deli. I probaly go there once a week lol. Now thats not my favorite chicken spot tho. JJ’s Fish And Chicken off Candler Rd hands down. Also I would take them to taco and tequila or El Azteca for taco’s. Gotta have my taco’s lol. So we definitely would hit those’s spots to eat. Night life I would either go out to Buckhead and bar hop or hit Ponce City Market. Im not really a club person but one of my favorite spots is MJQ. I dont think Ive ever had a bad night there. During the day I would take them to the Battery or Lenox. Now Im not a mall person but every time people come from out of town they want to go there so its a must hit usually.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off Shoutout to god for giving me this opportunity. Without him none of this would be possible. My second shoutout goes to my mother who’s always supported me with my music since high school. My 3rd Shoutout goes to my label, Radiant Family Records and my close friends. Through all the up and downs I say my close friends have helped grow my confidence over the years with my music with there support.
