We had the good fortune of connecting with Alencia & Que Knight and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alencia & Que, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
“After spending almost a decade in the event industry, we realized there was a real need for a space that offered both quality and affordability. We wanted to create a location where clients could access all of our services in one place—without compromising on style or breaking the bank. Starting our own business gave us the opportunity to bring that vision to life and serve our community in a more personal, meaningful way

What should our readers know about your business?
What really sets us apart is thatwe have the ability to offer everything under one roof — from DJ services, décor, catering, and more. That means our clients don’t have to stress about coordinating multiple vendors. We bring it all together to create something beautiful, intentional, and stress-free.

We’re also proud that we took this leap not just for ourselves, but for our family. We wanted our children to see that they can start their own business and pursue their passions — that they don’t have to wait for permission to build something meaningful. We wanted to show them that faith, hard work, and vision can take you places

Starting this wasn’t easy. There were a lot of late nights, lessons learned the hard way, and moments where we wondered if it was all going to work out. But through it all, we stayed grounded in our faith and kept showing up for each other and for the vision God placed in our hearts.

One of the biggest things we’ve learned is that growth takes time — and grace. It’s okay to not have it all figured out right away. We’ve learned to take it one step at a time, to ask for help when we need it, and to celebrate the small wins along the way.

What we want people to know about us and our brand is that this isn’t just business — it’s personal. We care deeply about what we do and the people we serve. This is more than a job — it’s a calling. We’re building something that reflects our values, honors where we come from, and hopefully inspires others to chase their own dreams too. We’re just getting started, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d spend the day hitting some of Atlanta’s must-sees — maybe the Atlanta BeltLine, Ponce City Market, and a stroll through Piedmont Park. We’d grab lunch at a nearby food hall and end the day with a chill dinner and maybe a rooftop lounge with a view.
For dinner, we’d take them to Divan’s on downtown Peachtree — the vibe is unmatched, the food is next-level, and it’s the perfect welcome to the city. Afterward, we’d take a slow walk downtown or catch some skyline views to ease into the week.

We’d wrap up the trip with a real Atlanta-style brunch — bottomless mimosas, live DJ, great food, and all the vibes. Afterward, we’d hit a local dessert spot or grab something to-go from a favorite bakery before sending them off full of memories.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, we have to give all glory to God — without Him, none of this would be possible. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… (Jeremiah 29:11). That verse has been a guiding light throughout this journey.

When we decided to start the business, it was not a spur-of-the-moment decision — it was intentional, prayed over, and strategic. We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our friend Aaliyah Parks. She was a tremendous support as we navigated uncharted territory. Her encouragement meant more than words can express.

No success is truly solo. We stand on the shoulders of every person who gave advice, offered a connection, or simply reminded us that we’re capable. This is for them. To our family and friends who listened without judgment and encouraged us to take bold steps — you helped us believe we could, and we’re forever grateful.
