Meet Alaina Lane | Personal trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alaina Lane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alaina, why did you pursue a creative career?
Being a personal trainer wasn’t what I always wanted to be. I actually went to school for criminal justice. In that time I was going through so much mentally & I lost so much weight & didn’t realize until my mom mentioned it. I dropped down to 97lbs at one time & I made a conscious decision that I wanted better for myself, so I got serious. After multiple attempts of failing I still managed to push past my failure until I started getting the results I desired. Once I started seeing results it became addicting. Fitness changed my life! I looked better, felt better & started doing better in all aspects. I seen how it changed my life in so many ways for the better & as a trainer I want to provide that experience for every client!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is my upbringing. I don’t come from a family that values being active & fit! Many people in my family are big boned, haha. I had to learn this on my own & I made the choice to value my health & I’ve inspired many people in my family, which makes me most proud!
I got to where I’m at, because I seen what I didn’t want to be! It wasn’t easy at all.. It takes a lot of self discipline, consistency, persistence, & most importantly faith!
The top three lessons I’ve learned along the way are Don’t compare! “Comparison is the thief of joy” Theodore Roosevelt. Second, Patience! You must develop the skill of patience. Lastly, Never get complacent! Always challenge yourself. There’s always something you can be doing to better yourself physically, mentally, spiritually, financially & emotionally!
I’d like the world to know that I’m more than just an influencer. I’m a child of God, I’m a leader, I’m a creative, I’m a go getter amongst many other things.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love outdoors! In the Atlanta area Stone Mountain is a must! I love my wine, I find random wine places to do my work and eat fresh fruits. There’s many restaurants I enjoy going to for the ambiance. I don’t have specific places in mind that I can recommend unfortunately. I enjoy trying new stuff a lot!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to all the fitness guru’s and influencers. It’s deeper than content or just showing our bodies off. Mental toughness, overcoming failures, pushing past obstacles, etc.. Fitness is a lifestyle!
