We had the good fortune of connecting with Akachè Marcino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Akachè, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Since high-school, I knew I wanted to be my own boss as I used to sell snacks. I want build generational wealth and hold name for my self. I personally don’t see my self working for someone the rest of my life and I know I’m not alone. I ultimately want to inspire people like me to purse their dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others,

What sets me apart is my customer service. I’m a strong believer in doing right by others and you’ll prosper.

what you are most proud of or excited about.

I am most proud of the Young Atlanta Fashion Show back in August! It was my biggest production to date. It was such a journey as I was able to create numerous content and Direct a whole to capture an unforgettable experience.

How did you get to where you are today professionally?

My Business Fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, has shaped me into a principled business leader. AKPSI has helped me be comfortable with the uncomfortable In addition Main Street, a Grant Organization at GSU, helped me become a better networker and improved my public speaking.

Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?

The entrepreneurial journey isn’t easy but what is. If being successful was easy everyone would do it. One of the few challenges I had was time management. I overcame it by creating weekly agendas and being realistic with my turnaround time

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?

One of the biggest lessons I learned is trial and error. Being ok with failure and learning from it. Another lesson I learned is to not be complacent. I feel this is a lot of people’s downfall, becoming too comfortable. In this business, you gotta stay proactive and have short-term memory sometimes. Lastly, remember your “why?”. Sometimes when we procrastinate or wanna quit, we gotta remember why we started!

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

I want the world to know that I’m only human, I’m not perfect at all. I’m just a country boy from Talladega, Alabama looking to make an impact on the world.

Many people don’t know this but before I got into my career, I was a troubled kid. I had dropped out of my first college and then had a couple run-ins with the law, which landed me in jail. My mindset wasn’t on the right track at all.

However, it’s my past that motivates me to this day to ensure that I am successful and a good role model to the people after me

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For starters I love Atlanta, there’s so much to do here in the city, and I would tell my best friend to check out breakfast at Barney’s for brunch, Go to the High Museum, then check out Colony Square across the street and see a movie. There is also a food court with a great variety. Lastly, to end the night off go party at Tongue and Groove or Buckhead bars it’s always a vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I first would like to shout out to God! Without him, there is no me. Next, my Mom, Uncle, family, and friends, have always been supportive since Day 1. Major Shout out to my GSU Family, y’all Day 1’s! Especially my Business Fraternity the Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. Pi has played a major role in my success as an entrepreneur and overall growth as a professional. Also, my modeling organization Infinite Appeal, has helped me grow in creativity in front and behind the camera. I would also like to thank Neville for helping me change my mindset when it comes to photography!

Last but not least, a Major Shout to my Mentor Daka David & the Certified Shooters Community! Within 30 days of joining, I have advanced my videography career to the next level !
