We had the good fortune of connecting with Ahyoka Yeshua El and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ahyoka, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business/career taught me is self-worth. For so long I didn’t see the value I brought to the table even though others could. I was living and looking at life through a tainted lens that shaped who I became, which allowed me to live beneath my potential. I was inundated with fear (fear of failure and fear of success) and people pleasing. Overtime I had to understand and honor the value I brought, not only to the table, but to relationships, environments, organizations and people. How my very presence could brighten someone’s day, shift the atmosphere, bring peace and joy, or help them flourish. I had to discover and accept my gifts, skills, talents and my identity without the titles.
Now, this may not be for everyone but I know this will help someone, because the day I realized who I was, and whose I was, I looked around and saw my own potential for the first time. I could see that whatever I touched flourished, I just forgot to touch myself. That day I decided, enough was enough. I stripped away the negative core beliefs from my life and took a good look at who I was – the good, the bad and the ugly so I could begin the journey to healing and walking in my fullness. I saw my value and self-worth for the first time like how everyone else did; like how Yahweh did.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Streamline Success International is a training, strategy and consulting company focused on helping women of faith and organizations flourish through business and personal development. The company’s three brands (Janna B. Speaks, #B.O.S.S.MOM University and Streamline Success Strategies) gives the courage, clarity, and confidence needed to accomplish your vision, one step at a time without being overwhelmed. Through our unique style, frameworks, and systems, we provide the training, products, online courses, live events, and mentorship necessary for you to maximize your time, impact & profits.
Right now, I’m really excited about returning to my first love, which is speaking, and launching my Speak Like A B.O.S.S. Academy and challenge!!!! Over the years I have helped thought leaders, experts, entrepreneurs, coaches, authors, speakers, and creators prepare for major speaking engagements, understand their audience and brand personality, and develop and monetize their messaging through products and programs.
One of the many attributes that sets me apart is my unique ability to take a complex concept and break it down for easy digestion, where anyone can understand and apply it. I guess it’s the teacher in me lol. I attract servant leaders who are creative with big visions. They have 1k and 1 ideas but are all over the place, overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. It brings me great joy and satisfaction to help those I serve gain the clarity and focus they need to move the needle and impact the bottom line both personally and professionally. And I guess it doesn’t hurt that I have an MBA and over 20+ years in an entrepreneurial environment helping businesses and brands, small and large, reach their financial goals; managed multi-million dollar campaigns in the US and International; developed training programs and created messaging for brand ambassadors.
Even with all of this, my journey to fulfillment and launching my business all started when I was working in my family marketing agency and heard about an event to become a public speaker. Even though I loved what I did, I just knew there was more for me that I wasn’t achieving. While at the event, something on the inside of me came alive and for the first time in a long time I felt alive again. So in 2015 I stepped out in faith to become a certified public speaker and launched my brand Janna B. Speaks. Janna in Hebrew means precious gift from Yahweh and I wanted to help women be that precious gift by empowering them to “Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be B.O.S.S.(TM)” Under this brand I hosted a weekly radio show B.O.S.S. Talk with Janna B and wrote for the Atlanta Voice under the column Naked & Unashamed. I spoke on numerous stages, hosted live and virtual events, and much more. However, the path that I thought would lead me to where I was traveling the world as a paid speaker did not take place.
Over the years the road to launching my business brands has not been smooth at all! It has been filled with lots of opportunities for growth as I navigated managing being a wife, stay at home mom, homeschool teacher, entrepreneur, building my life estate, and active in my investment club. Coupling this with overcoming internal conflict like low self-esteem, doubt, fear of failure, fear of success, self-worth, imposter syndrome, comparison and anxiety, eroded my confidence and how I showed up in the marketplace. I had to learn how to manage the demands and stress of all my roles, find a system and schedule that worked for my household, teach my children and build a business all at the same time – this was more than a notion.
However, one of the biggest challenges was being told by the Most High to put my business down after I just launched #B.O.S.S.MOM University and had major plans on Clubhouse. Eventually I realized it wasn’t the right timing to do this as my husband and very young children needed me. At first I was reluctant, but once I put the business down, He revealed how broken my marriage, children and I were. I was so busy chasing business and “success” I forgot what was most important – my tribe. For the entire year of 2021 I didn’t do any business and I took the time to heal and truly know Him on another level as well as myself. This divine disruption allowed me to reset and understand who Ahyoka was and the value I bring. This gave me the clarity I needed to understand how I wanted to do life and business that brought me joy and peace; who I wanted to serve; what I wanted to focus on and where to begin.
During my disruption I learned quite a few lessons such as:
1. True fulfillment is not attached to a price tag but is measured in joy, peace and happiness.
2. Your family is more important than chasing success. What’s the point if you lose them in the process?
3. I am more than titles and my voice matters.
4. Understand your worth cause not everyone will and that’s ok.
5. Sometimes a “setback” is really a divine step-back for realignment.
6. Success is sometimes slow. Make peace with your journey because you will arrive once you are ready. So in the meantime, prepare for the promise.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ohhh, great question. We would have to go to Chattahoochee Works for dinner, drinks and amazing vegan food!! YUM. While there, we would play a few rounds of axe throwing as well. I love being creative, when I get a chance, so we would have to go to a paint and sip party or a jewelry making class. Then we would go to this nature preserve I love to visit in Morrow, Ga. It has the most beautiful and serene trails. You could never go wrong visiting The High Museum for an exhibit or see a play at The alliance Theater. Another place I would go is Krog Street and the Beltline for the sights, adventure and food. Last but not list, we would head out to The New Black Wall Street in Stone Mountain, to support some local vendors.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
ABSOLUTELY!!! I would not be who I am today if it wasn’t for the love, encouragement, sacrifice, pouring and dedication of my supportive and loving husband Khufu, three beautiful children – Chayel, Iohn and Ahyah Arielle, the trailblazers in my family past and present, my parents, brothers, the various communities I’m apart of (The K.I.N.G. Reigns Ltd, iVillage, World ChangHers – Somalia Brown), and the special covering of some amazing woman (Avaree Pink-Lewin, Jodi Ann Bigsby, Somalia Brown and Stevii Mills).
They have all helped shape me mentally, emotionally, financially and spiritually into the woman I am today in business and life. For that, I am eternally grateful.
