Meet AGAL Hiba | French Fashion Designer founder of KARA VERANO brand

We had the good fortune of connecting with AGAL Hiba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi AGAL, why did you pursue a creative career?
” Art is like a mirror where man knows and recognizes something of himself”. Art has always inhabited my soul, I feel it in every part of me, and if I had to see the world from a certain perspective, it will be that of an artist, everything becomes more beautiful. I pursued studies in biology, that was really interesting, so I worked in laboratories, over time, I felt like a wild flower in a vase and then Art reminded me of him as the land is to the earth. then i start my FASHION DESIGNER study, and that’s where my fairy tale begin. today I do not feel my activity as work, because I blossom in my passion for fashion but especially my creative universe. this is what I would advise everyone, succeed in finding their balance and flourishing and not enduring their daily life but rather to savor it like a delicious French pastry, by doing what they really like.Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since my childhood I have been immersed in art. indeed my father AGAL ABDERAHMNE is a fine artist, I accompanied him in the fields of the meadows, he put down his tripod and began to paint the landscape. I grew up with landscapes in my head and my imagination grew. the delicious dish that my mother prepared for us helped my imagination a lot, she always worked better with my full belly. The birth of a brand, the birth of a concept. I set myself the goal of inspiring to change the vision that we could have of the woman who would be “submissive”, “dependent”. I am for the emancipation of women and for their personal fulfillment. So I wanted to create my own brand KARA VERANO for men and women , and be my “own boss”! I wanted my brand to be in my creative image !, with a high-end appearance and a little ethnic touch in reference to my Berber origins, it is these diversities that make our global market so rich. My brand also reflects a humanitarian side, conscious / responsible, especially solidarity! by developing the “sharing products”, which allows each purchase of a product, to donate 5% of the sale price for the benefit of a partner humanitarian association. I am very proud of this part of the project and happy to have been able to combine my love of fashion and my humanitarian needs. by the power of god, I got there, I have a connection with him and I never feel alone. I am one of those who do not believe in coincidence but rather in what we call “mektoob”. when you are young of Maghreb origin from a popular neighborhood, without money and without social networks, of course it is very difficult to start on your own and develop your activity. but idea and creativity is a real golden mind, which many investors are looking for. hence the importance of studies and knowing your baggage for the life that awaits you,and as we say in french “gently gently the bird makes its nest”. Kara Verano is a young fresh and original brand that does not use fur or real leather with clean cut and good quality, and all I hope is that it will go even further and do good in its path, inspire the young adults of tomorrow as others have inspired the adults of today young people of other times.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am from the south of France from one of the most beautiful city in the world MARSEILLE, a cosmopolitan city, very artistic and rich in history. She has seen many personalities grow and all this in modesty, indeed these inhabitants are warm and welcoming and her natural heritage is incredible. if you visit my city and you are looking for culture I advise you, Le Mucem a unique museum, you will love its architecture between contemporary and rustic like the old castel, located on the shore of the old port facing the Mediterranean sea. if you like nature, the creeks “les calanque”are made for you with turquoise blue sea. for a unique and romantic moment only one name “love away” and if you want a picnic with good local products or a breakfast to go, consult instagram page of “aupalaisdoria” you will be in love. I like to spend my time with friend to “tea vora” very cosy place with sand at your feet in a tea room. you will understand that you will not have time to be bored!Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have always said that success comes first from the mind, certainly through talent, but if the mind is not forged we are broken from within. First shoutout goes to my parents, my family who always supported me and believed in me and gived me the strength to move forward. Growing up in a family from a modest environment, which emigrated to France, where we shared a room with three, tight but happy, of low means and little money, teaches us love of GOD that the evolution exists and teaches us to watch from forward, teaches us sharing. because in spite of their weak means my parents gave us everything to my brother my sister and me. Love and encouragement of my friends, my girlfriends are full of life and good vibes, One of them loves photography, I have always pushed her to become a photographer and to exploit her talent, today she does my shoots as HB PHOTOGRAPHY !!. I am a person who is very lucky to have caring people around her, strive to always surround yourself with people who pull you up.
