We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
As a social media coordinator and content creator, you have to be very consistent and intentional throughout your daily and weekly activities. I learned early on to adapt and evolve with content creation and even social media scheduling. For example, I create content that I think matches that brands voice and tone and also that I think will resonate with their audience. I then must carefully examine and analyze which content is the most successful, impactful and gets the most engagement. Paying close attention, I then refine my approach based on what is working or not. As I evolve, my content evolves and reaches and resonates with more people. My client, their brand and business then get the necessary visibility, awareness or other goals we set out to achieve.

Another important factor of my success is ensuring to have a regular cadence of communication set-up with my social clients. I always send out weekly social media performance analytics reporting, but I also set up monthly strategy sessions. I find maintaining client communication and expectation setting is key. In these sessions, my client and I discuss the plan for next month, things that we need to be sure to incorporate or any content direction shifts that we need to make.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Most kids my age are not getting to learn a real skill like content creation or some of the creative software applications that I get to use as a social media coordinator, so that’s pretty cool! I have always enjoyed being creative ins some capacity or another growing up. I was writing fictional stories at the age of 8. I wrote a 100+ page story one-time when I was about 12– I was so into it! I have also always loved painting and drawing, so you could say being creative is ingrained in me.

Creating new and unique content can also be hard at times. I have to constantly come up with something new. I have learned that my creativity can’t be ‘on-demand’ either and that sometimes I have to walk-away and take a break to get a fresh perspective.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would have to say one of my most favorite spots in Atlanta would be the Read Shop in the Vinings area. This perfectly enchanting bookstore is great to grab a coffee with your bestie or go solo and bring your laptop and find a special nook to work remote from!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely have to shoutout my parents who are constantly encouraging me to be the best version of myself, not to take short cuts and to cultivate my talents. Sometimes even when I don’t believe in myself, they are there to remind me that I am doing stuff that other kids my age are not even remotely interested in. Both my parents work extremely hard, so I know I get my work ethic from them.

I have to give my mom a special shoutout, because even when I initially showed no interest in learning what she does in business, she pushed me. I am grateful now she did and I’ve learned a new exciting skill set because of it. I’ve gotten to go to photo and video shoots with my mom and also recording studios and meet some pretty interesting people because of these opportunities.
