We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Provost and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Life in itself can be considered risky, however, taking risks and challenging yourself leads to innovation and progression while building confidence and developing skills. Taking risks encourages you to step out of your comfort zone into unknown territory which allows you to confront your fears and develop a greater belief in yourself.

I believe in taking calculated risks, not wild gambles. Sometimes when taking risks we fail in accomplishing the specific goal in which we set out to achieve, but that isn’t always negative. I’ve learned some extremely valuable lessons in business as well as life from taking risks and failing. Those failures helped me create enhanced strategies moving forward and assisted with profound growth and execution.

The biggest risk is not taking any risks and being comfortable with doing nothing.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am fortunate to be the owner and president of Realty ONE Group Terminus, which is the official Atlanta affiliate of Realty ONE Group. Realty ONE Group Terminus is a modern lifestyle real estate brand with luxury and commercial real estate divisions. I have always been an entrepreneur, since starting my first company at 13. I owned many businesses prior to making a name for myself in real estate including fashion companies such as Carmine + Ruddy where all our goods were handcrafted in Italy from the finest materials including full-grain and exotic leathers. I was also the youngest sole-owner of a professional sports organization in the United States with my acquisition of the Atlanta Aliens basketball team at age 22 (which was the same year I attained my real estate license) as well as numerous entertainment-related endeavors such as music production, recording studios, and publishing companies. Each one of these experiences has contributed to the way I run my real estate organizations – from the precise and detailed oriented nature of the fashion industry to my competitive attributes from owning a semi-pro sports team. I also believe incorporating the same energy that I used when making music or designing shoes and clothes helps create an environment for our team that is conducive to achieving success while enjoying the entire process of selling real estate.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Narrowing down the phenomenal dining and entertainment options in Atlanta is almost impossible, as there are many incredible selections to choose from. Some of my favorite spots in the city are the Busy Bee, Poor Calvin’s, Bones, Antica Posta, La Grota, Moda 404, Exclusive Game, Magic City, Cheetah, Rose Bar, Gold Room, Red Phone Booth, as well as many others places for dining, shopping, and partying.

We also have some of the most entertaining sports teams in the nation, so it’s tough to say. It really depends on which friend would be visiting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many people and organizations that I am grateful for and have contributed to my success. My mother is probably the biggest influence on my success for a multitude of reasons.
