Meet Adrian Pnut: Director|Filmmaker|Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Pnut and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am P 2 the Nut! Adrian Pnut from Denmark, South Carolina AKA South Cakolacky! I’m a true country girl! My city is big on love. A small city makes everyone family. I can’t forget funny!! Denmark will teach you how to have thick skin and be a comedian at the same time. I love how we make everything funny. I believe laughter is good for the soul. I love making people laugh and feel good. That’s when I realized my talent is creating stories to tell my peers for laughter, Raised in a small city taught me how to go for what you want because chances are, no-one will come find you in a small city and give it to you. I was introduced to film and television young because my parents signed me up for events outside of the city. The issue was, TV and film wasn’t taught in my school as a real career. Now, since I know about the industry, I feel it is my job to bring it back to my community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love creating!! I created Nutrageous Productions. Nutrageous Productions was created to help other creators make their own way in the industry. I am very big on helping others create. I’m most proud when I am able to put people in positions to do what they love no matter their experience level. When I create my own content, I love asking people want they would like to do in the industry and try my best to find a way to make it happen. You never know someones true potential until you give them the opportunity. I was given an opportunity when I first started out. I didn’t know much about the film industry besides writing my own play but someone gave lil ole Nut the chance to come along and learn! Ask for what you want! You have to put out there and tell people what you want to do in this industry. Closed mouths do not get fed. I try to be a good person to everyone I meet. Relationships are big in this field and you would never want to come off as the person who no one would recommend for gigs. Set vibes are very important to me. Having an easy going set with good people will always be the goal. I enjoy having a great set where everyone feels good!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Hibachi First stop is getting some Hibachi from Taki in Dunwoody. After that we must visit the park. I enjoy all the parks in Atlanta. I like laying out at Piedmont Park and watching the couples couple. I also like to eat so its back to eating but this time at Mr. Everything! This place right here!! One of the best food places in Atlanta. After eating again, we would enjoy some fun at a spot I find on TikTok. Searching #thingstodoinatlanta will give us plenty of choices to choose from. Atlanta is a place where you can walk down the street and run into some fun.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are sooooo many people I could name who had an impact on where I am in life today! Starting with my home town, Denmark! I love those people! Along with my family and my brother Nice for being as creative as myself and pushing me to grow. My friends, all of yall! And I can’t forget about my new family here in Atlanta! If you ever rooted for me, showed me love, given constructive criticism, gave me a gig, or even mentioned my name when I wasn’t around!! I THANK YOU!!!
