We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Jstn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Now that I have fully immersed myself in my business, I’ve come to realize the importance of effective time management. Balancing my college studies with my business ventures requires a significant level of commitment. While my free time is limited, I understand that dedicating it to my business is crucial. Often, it feels like there is an overwhelming amount to accomplish within such a short period.

However, I am grateful for the ability to rise to these challenges and get things done. Previously, when I was solely focused on being a talent under other people’s businesses, the workload seemed more manageable. But now, as a Content Creator, Entertainer, Entrepreneur, and Student, the responsibilities can sometimes feel daunting.

Yet, during those moments of potential overwhelm, I prioritize self-care and allow myself the necessary time to recharge and regroup. Harnessing these moments of respite helps me regain focus and reinvigorates my drive to get back to work. This ability to adapt and find balance amidst various responsibilities is a testament to my determination and resilience.

I remain committed to navigating this complex journey, ensuring that I make the most of every available moment. With unwavering dedication, I strive to excel in all aspects of my multifaceted professional and academic life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Seventy7 Magazine is a unique publication with an inspiring mission that sets it apart from others. We aim to foster community growth and change by presenting a vibrant platform for diverse dialogue over a variety of topical issues, including fashion, mental health, well-being, and music. The magazine is not just a hub for enlightenment, but it intentionally acts as a tool for unity, inclusivity, and empowerment.

One proud aspect of our business is that we have curated the magazine’s content with a team of talented black visionaries. This focus on diversity and inclusivity sets us apart, and we believe it’s an integral part of why we’ve received an astonishing 100,000 engagements since our announcement, further solidifying our purpose and appeal.

Operating a business is never an easy task. There were numerous challenges along the way, particularly, Seventy7 Magazine being a self-funded venture by our CEO/Founder, Adrian Jstn. Despite financial and societal challenges, Jstn remained resolute in pushing through obstacles, leveraging these instances as means to refine the organisation’s mission and inspire others.

From these experiences, we have learned that determination, grit, and passion are crucial components to success. But beyond that, the essence of our work lies in fostering change and providing a beacon of hope and inspiration for others.

Our excitement for the future stems from our planned mentorship program earmarked to inspire and empower young black children. By engaging and guiding these youngsters, we want to inspire the next generation of leaders and change-makers.

We want the world to know that Seventy7 Magazine is not just a publication but a catalyst for change. Our brand is rooted in the belief that “anything is possible, even for a little black boy,” and we pledge to continue embodying this message in all our initiatives. We invite everyone to join us in this journey of creating positive shifts, unity, and empowerment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots to visit in the city are the high museum, slutty vegan, five guys, jj’s (iykyk). I also love to go see shows at the FOX.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to God & myself!
