Hi Abigail, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lessons my business has taught me is to have patience and to take risks.I never realized how impatient I was until I started my business. My business has helped me to understand that sometimes it will take time for things to start flowing the way you want them to, but with patience and hard work, you will eventually get where you want to be.

What should our readers know about your business?
UnitsByAbi website officially launched in March 2020. We launched with our beautiful customers in mind needing quality wigs and hair bundles. We provide ready-to-wear glue-less wigs and 12A hair bundles. We are based in Virginia, however, we do ship worldwide. I want the world to know that UnitsByAbi is here to stay, we will continue to provide affordable flawless wigs for as long as God allows us to do so.

With that being said, I am proud of how much I’ve grown physically and mentally since I started my business. One of the biggest downfalls I had was being a procrastinator, eventually, I had to learn that it wasn’t going to help my business get where it needed to be, showing up on time, staying consistent with my craft, and making the extra sacrifice is what would help my business to get the growth and recognition it deserves.

What sets UnitsByAbi apart from the others? Our top-tier customer service and of course the fact that we provide quality wigs and hair bundles. I love going above and beyond for my customers even though I have set hours for when customer service is available, once I’m available even if it’s at 3 a.m. to answer any questions or concerns my customers have, I will answer.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not much of an outgoing person, but I would have to take her to Busch Gardens Williamsburg to enjoy the rollercoasters, Water Country USA to enjoy the water rides, Williamsburg Winery to learn more about wine and to taste amazing food that’s made by them and Colonial Williamsburg to learn more about back in the day history. I would also take her to my favorite restaurants here; Oceans & Ale right here in Williamsburg and Cheesecake Factory in Virginia Beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I would like to give a shout-out to God if it weren’t for him I would not have stepped out and found my purpose. Secondly, I would like to give a big shout-out to my mom and my boyfriend, they believed in my business idea the very first moment I spoke with them about it, in fact, they even made sure I had all the materials I needed to get my business off the ground.

Thirdly, I would like to thank my ambassadors and all of my friends for being so supportive and for always promoting my business without me having to ask. Most of all, my beautiful customers that purchase all their wigs and bundles from UnitsByAbi,It is greatly appreciated.
