We had the good fortune of connecting with Abdullah Bility and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abdullah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My team is the most important factor behind the success of my organization and me as an individual. For five years, I have worked with young people and professionals from diverse backgrounds, understanding, and cultures with a vision to create a future in which all Liberian youth, women, children, and girls will be viewed and treated equally as men, in all aspects of life; Civil, political, economic, social, and cultural.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a 25-year-old Liberia Nonprofit Manager and an Agriprenuer. A recipient of the 2021 Diana Award, Among the 100 most influential Young People 2021 listed by Opportunities Hub, recipient of The Pollination Project Seed Grant, The Peace First min-grant, Fellow in training at Accountability Lab Incubator 2022, and a senior student reading Biology at the United Methodist University of Liberia.

I work as a Nonprofit Manager and an agripreneur with five years of experience in civil society activism, community mobilization, peace advocacy, and two years of experience in agripreneurship. I am the Executive Director of Peace Agents Network (PAN) and CEO of Glow Agro-Farm Inc. As the Executive Director of Peace Agents Network, I work as the Senior Operating Officer of the organization’s projects and daily activities. I am responsible for strategic planning, working with the Board of Directors, and funding partners, and operating within a budget. I am committed to supporting marginalized youth, women, children, and girls to achieve their full potential; by encouraging, enabling, and facilitating their active involvement in peace-building, decision-making, learning, and community life.

As the CEO of Glow Agro-Farm Inc. I am building a resilient agro-farm that thrives to meet the local market needs. I am passionate about ending hunger, supporting social and economic development, and ensuring good nutrition and food security in local communities. I work to produce local food products and empower smallholder farmers through training and support to increase their harvest, build their incomes and sustain natural resources.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would carry them to watch a soccer game, or at a mall especially when my team Arsenal is playing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my nonprofit organization Peace Agents Network (PAN), My business Glow Agro-Farm Inc., and the book entitled Think and Grow Rich written by Napoleon Hill.
