We had the good fortune of connecting with 7EEN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi 7EEN, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel like everyone should take risks in their lives. When you live in fear of taking risks or staying in your comfort zone you don’t grow & you miss out on opportunities that help you with your purpose and journey. Taking risk helped me a lot with my path & career. I started out scared to be an artist due to my lack of confidence but those risks helped me become the person & artist I am today by trusting Yahweh & knowing that & the end of the day I will be ok & this was meant for me. It wasn’t easy & it isn’t easy but you have to have faith.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is I’m appreciative of the older generations’ music and style so I study it & add my own twist to where it feels or sounds soulful, different & nostalgic. I’m very excited about the new music I’m releasing this year & the videos I’m directing & participating in. I got to where I am today by networking, meeting new people, learning from the other creatives around me, being genuine & asking for help. My journey wasn’t easy but when it’s for you it won’t be as hard. The lessons I’ve learned a long the way was that time waits for no one & when the opportunity is there & you have a gut feeling that it’s for you, you better take it. I want the world to know I am a creative genius/legend & I’m going to remembered for it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to this black owned restaurant called “Plated” located on the Southside of Atl & then for a walk on The Beltline. After that we’ll go to a showcase event called “All My Friends”, where we’d enjoy a bunch of different performances, skits, & games.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shout out to Yahweh, my homies Soso Le $avage, Akeem Ali, Bee Taylor, Whyz, M.D.Stoner, Good Deal Productions, Papadook The Poet, Whyz, Booney, Nassir, & Claytoven. Lol I know I sound like Whitney Houston at the BET awards when she was accepting her award but these artist supported me a lot through tout my journey.
