We had the good fortune of connecting with 1212 Flix and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi 1212, what principle do you value most?
Courage would have to be the value that matters the most. Or at least one of them because without the courage to start and commit to an idea, you have little prospects for success. We want to be examples of certain alternative living options that usually get a bad rap & that definitely takes confidence and self determination. We go towards the taboo and strive to shed light on things that work for us & many others. Just that fact in itself shows the risks we’re willing to take in order to make our mark in a positive way. Without a healthy belief in ourselves and the bravery to persevere no matter the odds, you wouldn’t see us here today. And that goes for many other people who exhibit that same sentiment around the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
1212 Flix started as a family vlog starring Brandi, a graphic artist/director/marketing specialist, GB, a musician/actor/model, and their lovely daughter Atira. We now own and operate a multimedia company called Junomar. 1212 Flix is our premiere network and it hosts many shows and spin offs like 1212 Eatz, 1212 Fit, & 1212 Reactz. We have films, literary works, artistic capsules, and much more on the way. We also curate other brands and business projects & campaigns. Our main mission is to promote family and community progress through self-care and creative expression. One of the things that makes us unique is that lots of our content promotes or uses green eco-friendly means that promote healthy living. On top of that we have a fun, fresh, and comedic presentation to show our real personality. We all make the world go around just by living and relating to each other, so we’re big on being transparent. Our business has thrived from the give and take relationship we have with our community. We help, entertain, and inform people and they reciprocate!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a family, our go-to’s are very diverse. So, lets just go with places we frequent in our down time. If we were trying to show a friend a great time the Aquarium would be a great stop. We did a 2-part vlog on our first visit and it was epic. The tanks are larger than life and its a chill getaway for any group. Next, we could swing by The Battery at Truist Park. Lots of eats, the baseball stadium, good shopping, and Atira loves to play at the water fountains. That could easily be an all day thing! If you haven’t been to TI’s trap museum that’s always a must see and its close to a lot of well known food spots and areas that make the city what it is today. Since we are plant-based, we like to take friends to vegan spots like Slutty Vegan, Bad Gyal Vegan, and Planted Soul to show them how we feast on a “cheat day.” There’s always something going on in the city and surrounding areas that anyone could appreciate and we prefer a more quiet and natural environment most times as well. You’d be surprised how many trails and nature walks you can find out here!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to dedicate our shoutout to our family. They have always been a major support and they drive us to be better. Making them proud and creating a brighter legacy is a big part of our motivation. Not to mention the three of us each learning and evolving while spending time together. It’s the best … family for the WIN!!!
