We had the good fortune of connecting with Martez TezThaGreat Mosley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martez TezThaGreat, how do you think about risk?
I think about risk as an important part of any career you want to be apart of. Especially music I recommend never to put yourself in harm’s way but put yourself out there any way possible.
And risk I’ve taken is moving to Atlanta not really knowing anyone and getting out into the street and shaking hands and kissing babies as they say lol, made it happen and networked my butt off.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
About my work I am a creative. I am a songwriter first then A&R. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m relatable and I’m not afraid to talk to anyone we are all human and all have a purpose and I love genuinely connecting with great ppl. And I got to where I am today professionally just by leading with my music , interacting and talking with ppl genuinely with nothing to seek after but conversation and maybe friendship and it turned into so much more. I’m most proud of me everyday not giving up, and no it was not easy I definitely wanted to let music go so many times but I was reminded I have a gift that I need to share. Lessons I’ve learned that all money isn’t good and not every opportunity you need to pursue.
Lastly about my brand is that just expect great things music , Artist , ppl just being great.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a pizza lover so we will definitely hit down town Atlanta for Gino’s Pizza And I love Johnny’s pizza too lol
Definitely take a tour of the iconic Doppler studios if they still give them lol. The aquarium and really a bunch of mom and pop joints to eat cause I love to eat hahahaha.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are alot of ppl I want to credit for my on going story. Shout out to Misha Fair the first person to believe in me when I first moved to Atlanta and shout out to Tiffany J. gave me my first publishing deal. And alot of OGs in the industry who have helped me along the way from advice and or showing me certain things and critiques.
