We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Angel Martinez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luis Angel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a business is a commitment and requires dedication, resources and sacrifice. My thought process behind starting my own business was probably like most people, scared lol. But I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I actually got into a really bad situation with my old job that pushed me to start my own business. It was now or never in that moment. If I didn’t push myself to do it then, I wouldn’t ever do it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being authentic sets my business apart from other companies. I do get inspired by others but always put my own twist. I am most proud of the journey I have went through to get to where I am. The journey to become a professional in my industry was not easy but having the right mentality really changes everything. I overcame challenges by really going at them head on. If adversary was knocking, I would let it right in and defeat it before it gets out the door! The biggest lessons I have learned along the way are stay true to your goals and values and don’t nickel and dime customers because at the end, it’s only going to do damage to you and your business. Learn to make your clients more like family then a customer.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to start at the belt line riding bikes ! After a great workout in a beautiful view, we would go to ponce city market and grab a bite. If you are in the A, you have to check out slutty vegan. Healthy but delicious at the same time?! Count me in haha. You gotta take them to some nice rooftop and elegant restaurant such as habitat, patria cocina, casi cielo, Barcelona wine bar, and del bar! Shoutout to Rreal tacos for really supporting la raza to keep growing. So many place to choose from you can’t go wrong going to Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A story about overcoming and prosperity always has some unsung hero’s. This is not one of them. I am proud to say I have made it this far by the support and love from my community. I would like to thank my mother Sandra Martinez for always being the rock of my world. The tintertainment community has also helped my growth for helping me network and learn from the best in the industry. Shoutout to Eric Kimple for being the first person I meet in the industry and really setting the example.
