We had the good fortune of connecting with Lori Maydwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lori, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?

The most valuable lesson my career has taught me is to practice patience. I’ve learned to slow down and appreciate the time required to perfect my craft. Although I understand that this process does not happen overnight, I cherish the knowledge I’ve gained about the products and processes that contribute to building my brand. Patience helps me to discover and include pertinent details that I may have initially overlooked. I’ve learned that success is not a destination, it’s a lifestyle! It is a daily commitment to fuel my vision and discover creative ways to express myself through cooking.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Lori Maydwell is a plant-based recipe creator from Fort Wayne Indiana. She is a published author and a graduate of Indiana University. Lori developed her love and appreciation for food at an early age while assisting her grandparents with their local catering company.

In 2005, Lori modified her diet and gravitated towards a plant-based lifestyle. She is on a mission to transform traditional comfort foods into plant-based recipes packed with flavor and nutrition.

As a vegan home cook, Lori creates recipes using raw and packaged plant-based ingredients. Her primary objective is to capture the attention of diverse audiences, including those who may be food insecure, to encourage a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. Lori enjoys sharing photos of her cooking creations on social media, including specific plant-based brands and locally grown product recommendations. Her mouth-watering photos represent appetizing plant-based ideas for viewers searching for meatless menu options. Lori ‘s recipes are nutritious, affordable and easy to prepare. She is currently testing her vegan recipes in preparation for her recipe book entitled Lori’s Plant-Based Life, Volume I.
