Hi Lawanda, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Starting my online business has taught me some important lessons. First, I quickly learned that it takes a lot of planning to run a successful business. Planning what needs to be ordered, creating and posting content, and meeting each customer’s needs. Customer service is a skill that has to be mastered because the customers are the heartbeat of our business. Another important lesson that I learned is that you have to be extremely disciplined. You have to wear so many hats running a business and you have to stay on top of each and every task.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of a clothing and accessories boutique. We offer quality accessories that will elevate your entire look. We sell products that can be worn on an everyday basis and for more formal events. We offer earrings, necklaces, handbags, and we have just added clothing to our boutique. Some of the newest collections include comfortable and versatile kimonos that can be styled wih jeans and a tank or as a swimsuit cover up. I’m excited about our new spring and summer accessory collections. Being a business owner, can be quite a j0urney. It takes a lot of time and you have to be consistent with marketing and keeping your brand in front of your audience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout a few people in my life that have encouraged me in my journey. First, I would like to acknowledge my husband who is my day one support system. He encourages me to keep pushing forward and he is also my proffessional photographer. He also lets me know when I need to rest which is very important when running a business and being a full time stay at home mom. I also have support from other family members that share posts, comment, and purchase products. I have also grown a community of clients and other boutique owners that help me out in many areas.
