We had the good fortune of connecting with Karolina Agner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karolina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
At the risk of sounding like I’m talking about myself I do credit a large part of the success of my business to the hard work and the passion I have for what I do. I pour a bit of my heart and soul into every single session. I try my best to connect with every single client, and to form a relationship that keeps them coming back to me. I want my sessions to flow, for their to be love and laughter to be natural and organic, and for it to feel like time spent with a friend rather than stiff posed portraiture. One of the greatest gifts this business gives me is watching my families grow through the years and experiencing all the seasons of their lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think the one thing that sets my work apart from my peers is the organic feel in my images. I like to think that you can hear the echo of the laughter, see the love in my couples’ eyes, and feel the emotion in every picture. I focus on the real and raw moments that you capture in between the poses. I think that I am here today because of the amazing experience that I strive to give my clients. It not only keeps them coming back for more but when I’m lucky they tell their friends! Word of mouth is one of the biggest factors in growing a business. It’s never easy to pursue a creative career over the traditional path. There will always be people who don’t consider anything artistic a “career” and the most important thing is belief in yourself to continue pushing forward. Plant your own seeds and watch them grow! I think in the digital world, it’s become so easy for people to consider photography as expendable, however the experience that you get behind my lens is not one that can be captured through a cell phone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
*****Can we skip this one? We are big on travel and don’t really stick to any local spots!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my family and my friends for their never ending support for my business, but most of all my husband for being my biggest cheerleader and encouraging me to pursue this beyond a hobby, into a career and a passion.
