We had the good fortune of connecting with Fancy Dmeanor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fancy, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is quality over quantity! It doesn’t matter if you not selling a lot of products if the ones you do offer a person feels like their money’s worth ! Once you build a report with customers and they value your product because they know you stand on quality and satisfaction. They will repurchase or give great reviews & referrals!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What keeps me busy professionally is the fact that my business is within the fashion industry which evolves daily ! Fashion repeats itself and the creative side of it produces daily ideas so you must stay in tune to what’s new and popular as well as creating your own unique aesthetic and style ! So I am actively posting my ideas on social media for responses! Also attending events and forums to learn more about the production side of having a clothing brand and ways to evolve or be seen ! It’s really never a day off with Fashion it is a Lifestyle!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My girls visiting Atl the first place we stop is Breakfast at Barney’s the food and Ambience is everything! Then we gonna go to dinner at RuthChris my favorite! We gotta go to 3rd Spot for some fun bowling, drinks and laughs ! They wanna got to club we got to hit up R&B night at Club Traffic it’s definitely a vibe on Thursdays ! Friday night we can go to dinner at a great Jamaican Food Restaurant The Continent Atl in Buckhead food and vibe is very inviting! Saturday you know we gotta get our brunch on so we can go to The Hive there brunch is good fish and grits my favorite! Saturday night we want drinks we can go by Trap City Cafe where it’s new vibe so the service , food and drinks are great! Sunday we gonna brunch again at Boogalou everyone likes to visit this restaurant because they got swings for your cute photos but the food and drinks are great ! That would wrap my weekend up Boogalou also had a day party on Sunday and you never know what Celebrity might pop io up ! I Love My City !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a mentor Kenya Simmons and her influence and guidance help me to truly believe in myself and my Brand . Day one meeting her everything was genuine! I admire her because she was a women of color and running a million dollar business she started ! She gave me an opportunity to manage her son music career from her seeing how much I was dedicated to a promotional company I worked for at time ! That led to us becoming not only business partners but family she encouraged me to walk in my brand and that starting my clothing line was very possible and she would help in any way and support me ! That alone pushed me to do what I procrastinated on for so long ! So I am forever grateful to her because she showed up at a time in my life where I needed more genuine people in my corner ! That’s one relationship I value and has helped me in so many ways I’m thankful we crossed paths !
