Angela Lightsey | Founder, Tybee Wellness Retreats, Nomad & La Luna Luz

Hosting yoga retreats fosters a sense of community by bringing women together to share a common interest. When we return back to our “normal” lives, we have a sense of how our energies impact the world around us. Tybee Wellness Retreats, Nomad & La Luna Luz all collaborate with local wellness practitioners to boost our craft as well as bring awareness to our shared goals. I also incorporate charitable components such as sitting on the board of our local Tybee Arts Association and helping to fundraise for Savannah CASA and other local non-profits. Read more>>

Sárah Lee | Podcast Host, Journalist, & Gen Z Media Expert

Set Up 4 Success is my initial dive into entrepreneurship straight out of Hampton University. No job offers post-graduation guided me to a different path. I wasn’t destined to be a local news reporter; there was a unique contribution I needed to make to media, especially in this era of drastic change. Creating this podcast wasn’t just about personal growth but a necessity for my generation, Gen Z. I’ve been that student and graduate, a young high school dreamer navigating an unconventional path toward success. The podcast serves as a lifeline for Gen Z, HBCU students, and anyone seeking inspiration. Read more>>

Anasiah Clark | Lip care & skin care maker

Our business is based on lip care and skin care products. For the actually community that I stay in, no one in the area has done lip care and skincare products, that was honestly something that my community didn’t have around so I thought that it would be a great idea to bring it to the area. In my community I haven’t came across a person that has yet prefer not to have lip gloss or any kind of moisturizer for the body. I would also say that our business helps the world, but it is also giving the world an opportunity to see what other products our out there, and what also works for their skin in general. I also feels as if it helps the world to see young entrepreneurs coming up with different businesses, and products. Read more>>

Catherine Mew | Producer, Writer, and Script Development

Atlanta Reclamation Studios works in a feminist production mode, without typical theatrical and cinematic hierarchal structures, to find lost Georgian historical stories that fit into the complex cultural struggles the state and its citizens still face today. Our recent show, Mavens of St Catherines Island — which recently received a series of NYC industry readings sponsored by Bechdel Project in connection with Broadway World— focused on matriarchal structures and survival on the Georgia Golden Isles during the hurricanes of 1893, 1898, and 1901. The plight of the women in the show directly reflects on the issues facing the Geechee people on Sapelo Island today, as well as issues of female autonomy, repressive Comstock laws, direct democracy, colonialism, ecological survival, and religious freedom.
