I think success is often thought about as a goal, kind of like an “I made it” moment, whether it be as a musician or in a business or in your profession or whatever you’re pursuing. But I think of it more as an ongoing process. I’ve always wanted to make music my job and the fact that it’s been my job for a couple of years now is success to me. But I’m still always trying to write bigger songs, play bigger venues, produce for bigger artists etc. and build on what I have achieved so far to become “more successful”. Success means something different to everyone. And honestly, there is no right or wrong answer as how to define it, but I hope my explanation can help you view it in a new light. Success for me is time well spent. It’s not just about chasing goals or climbing the corporate ladder; it’s about making the most of the moments we have in our everyday life. From spending time with my friends & family, pursuing passions, or simply enjoying the present (for me it’s the bird bath outside my office window), success is found in the meaningful use of our time.
