Brittany Wright | Travel Specialist & Apparel Brand Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work life balance has completely changed after having my baby. I was working a 9-5 and running my business on the side. It’s really hard sometimes. I was really thinking about giving up on my business. I was having a hard time finding that balance. To be honest, I’m still not there yet. I chose to push through the sleepless nights and the super early mornings. I look around and see so many women being moms and running their successful businesses. I know there’s a balance to all the chaos. I’m slowly working my way there.
What should our readers know about your business?
BeWrightBack is a travel company specializing in showing others that they can mentally, physically, and financially afford to travel with an illness. I’m so proud of the brand I’m building because I’m able to take something that was life-changing to me and help bring joy to others. The Lupie Traveler and BeWrightBack Apparel are under that company. The Lupie Traveler: I share travel tips and tricks on my blog. I also help others plan their dream vacations. I often cater to those with disabilities. BeWrightBack Apparel: My apparel is meant to be comfy but still trendy. It’s for the girl that’s always on the go, but she still wants to be stylish. It’s for the girl that’s not feeling too well, but she doesn’t want the world to know. I’m that girl, and I know there are many more like me!! Our logo: The Butterfly. The BeWrightBack Butterfly is more than just our brand’s logo. This butterfly represents so many of us battling Lupus. The Butterfly is the mascot for us with Lupus. The Butterfly rash is one of the first signs of lupus or a flare is about to occur. If you take a closer look you can see our brand initials in the butterfly.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok, So food first. Mary Mac’s Tea Room- Great Southern Food. Bar Taco- Their Duck Tacos are so good! Pair it with one of their yummy margaritas. Ponce City Market- This Place has all types of great eateries. The Vortex- Nice selection of burgers with a Rock & Roll Vibe. The Sun Dial- Enjoy a great lunch/dinner while you slowly rotate. -Great Views of Atlanta. Atlanta Fish Market- Fresh, Fresh Seafood. Great Places to hang out!! Suntrust Park. – Fun bars and other activities happening all the time here. You don’t have to wait for a ballgame to enjoy Suntrust Park. Ponce City Market- Ponce is worth mentioning twice. Outside of food, Ponce has some really unique stores. The best park is the rooftop. They have midway games, rides and golf. There’s always something different happening at Ponce City Market. Dugan’s on Ponce- Dugan’s is where the locals go to bar. Great atmosphere, strong drinks and some awesome karaoke. Little 5 Points. Park your car and take in all that Little 5 Points has to offer. Unique and vintage shops. This is a great place to take pictures. Outkast Mural is located in Little 5 points. Atlanta has so much to offer this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband. He’s my support system. He’s my manager, investor, coach, my uber, my chef, my strength when I’m feeling weak. He supports my dreams and helps me bring them to reality. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for him. He’s the best father to our two children. He’s always putting himself last to make sure everybody else is taking care of. My husband is the most grateful and genuine person you’ll ever meet.
