We had the good fortune of connecting with Felicité Cesaire and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Felicité, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always understood there was a process. What I believed was success or would make an impact would NOT happen overnight. I knew there were levels, steps, layers, and so much healing in order to build something impactful. The Furnace Is For Gold was a tribute to my personal journey and people began to apply it to their lives as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
No one truly knows what I do and I’ve been okay with that. A lot of my work requires stopping for the one. I am catalyst for those stuck in a mental block on a journey to developing their process as an artist/brand owner. I’m proud of the moments I can freely create without an agenda see a client start their projects.

I’ve learned it’s okay to take breaks. It’s necessary for you growth as a leader and creative. Lessons I’ve learned along the way are to set your boundaries and keep em.

I want the world to know what I put out is what I pour into myself first.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bar taco is my fave so we are definitely pulling up there first! High Museum, a beautiful walk on the beltline for fresh air and photo ops. Sama Food for balance for everything good for your body. Barcelona Wine Bar some vibes and good eats. Ugh Gilly Brew Bar for creative meets and the best Matcha Elixer. So many places! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God deserves all the credit. His is my creative director and I would be nothing without Him. My mother as well. She gave me the freedom even when she didn’t understand what I was doing, to be my creative self. A Return To Love By Marianne Williamson that I live by…”Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Keep me grounded and shifts my perspective daily like I read/heard it for the first time.
