We had the good fortune of connecting with Tambra Cherie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tambra, what do you attribute your success to?
My faith in God. My determination, motivation, and belief that God answers prayers. I am a walking testimony that God answers prayers. I’ve always followed my passion. I believe in being to good to people and others no matter what. I believe in consistency. I believe in loyalty and honesty. I believe in helping others. I believe in doing the the work and not taking any shortcuts. I believe in patience. All of these things I believe have helped me along my journey of success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I consider myself a brand. I’m a full time on air Midday radio personality but also a television personality, host, entertainment news correspondent, author, interactive media talent, speaker and entrepreneur. I’ve also been a contributing writer for magazines and media outlets. I do voiceovers for commercials and company brands. I’ve been a brand ambassador for companies and their products. I’ve been a television spokesperson for companies. I love it all! I want to continue to do more! My passion drives me. I’m excited about everything I do so I feel like I bring alot of excitement and energy to my projects. There have been challenges along the way and there still is. You have to be patient, prayerful, and consistent! I believe what is for you will not pass you by! Throughout the pandemic, I personally started making my own personal herbal teas for friends and family to keep their immune systems up, so now I have my own brand of immunity tea! But every thing I do, I LOVE to do! I would want the world to know that I am using every gift that God has given me. I am my brand. www.tambracherie.com

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have actually worked in Atlanta for two weeks straight before. I lived in Atlanta during my early years of radio and television. I traveled back and forth getting interviews from artists, and covering events. I was creating my own experience. One of my favorite restaurants is Pappadeaux. I go there almost every other day I am working in Atlanta. My favorite juice bar is Roots Pressed Juices. I go there every other morning when I am in the city. South City Kitchen in Midtown is nice! The Agency for cocktails is also cute! We would also go to breakfast at Barney’s! I love food! I’m a foodie. Before the pandemic, I would do alot of music events and movie premieres with colleagues but I mostly work when I’m in Atlanta, so the friend would have to come to work with me, and that’s always fun!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe so many people have helped me along this journey and continue to. My family is very supportive in every role I carry out. My Program Director, Kwasi Kwa, at my radio station has always served as a mentor. I’ve had Program Directors & mentors within radio & TV from around the country to sit down with me, and give me great advice including Geo Cook in Dallas, Texas and Hurricane Dave, who worked previously in Atlanta, GA. Monica Barnes, who is the executive producer of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, has been like a big sister to me in the industry always willing to help. Gary with the Tea from the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, who also lives in Atlanta, has been super helpful. I’ve met & worked with some amazing television producers and executives who have helped me so much in understanding the industry and given me the opportunity to do national television. I’ve sat down with music executives such as Kevin Liles who has always taken the time out to sit down & give me one on one advice. When it comes to being an author, I had amazing authors sit down with me and help throughout the process. Authors Tommie Mabry and Felix Anderson were very helpful! Julia Beverly, who lives in Atlanta and edited my book, Surrounded By Sin, Grounded By Love, was very helpful in that process as well. The list goes on and on! I’m thankful for so many people God has placed in my life! We help each other!
