We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefani Silverman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I think some of us are simply wired with an internal pull — that instinct that tells you you’re meant to create something of your own. I always had ideas for businesses, but for years I was told the timing wasn’t right or that it would be a mistake to walk away from a successful corporate path. So I waited… until one day, the answer became unmistakably clear. It was either my moment to bet on myself, or I would never do it.

When that realization came, I felt an unexpected sense of calm. After 22 years in corporate leadership, I knew I was ready to take on the challenge I once thought was impossible. And I was incredibly fortunate — my husband believed in the vision wholeheartedly. His support gave me the confidence and clarity I needed to block out the noise and finally make the leap.

From there, I moved with purpose. I spent the next month talking to everyone in my network — learning, asking questions, gathering insight — while simultaneously building two companies at once. I didn’t have a formal roadmap, but I trusted my instincts, my work ethic, and my willingness to get back up every time I was knocked down. That combination became my fuel, and it’s what carried me forward.

What should our readers know about your business?
BASE Fashion + Facial Bar is a fresh concept fusing fashion and skincare within an open-concept studio in the heart of Sandy Springs. Our vision was to create an experiential space where people could truly indulge in self-care — exploring our modern Skin Bar, shopping curated apparel and jewelry, and experiencing exceptional service from start to finish.

While we believed this new concept would be well received, we also faced a bit of skepticism early on. Still, my partner Eldar and I were determined to bring our vision to life.

After spending more than 15 years in the aesthetics industry and observing spa concepts across the country, I began to notice a major shift. People craved the spa-like experience — the connection with their aesthetician — but they also wanted freedom of choice and access to exceptional skincare from around the world.

With BASE, we set out to align with what today’s consumer truly desires: an experience that’s indulgent, stylish, and rooted in authenticity — where fashion meets skincare, and self-care feels effortless. Our studio is more than a place for treatments or shopping; it’s a space for our community to connect, feel inspired, and walk out glowing — inside and out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love Atlanta and discovering the newest spots around the city — but in full transparency, as a busy mom of three, we don’t get out nearly as much as we’d like. We tend to stick to our favorites (and avoid the traffic… I can’t believe I’m admitting that!).

So for us, a perfect Atlanta weekend looks something like this:

Morning: We love starting the day with a walk at Chastain Park or along the Riverwalk at Columns Drive. Then it’s coffee and breakfast at The Chastain or Mend Coffee — two of our go-tos.

Midday: I’d gather a few friends and head to BASE Fashion + Facial Bar for facials, fashion, and a little self-care — it’s truly my happy place. From there, the day shifts into mom mode and we’re off to kids’ activities, usually at the NYO fields or a soccer game somewhere across the city.

Evening: We are total foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants and cuisines. One of our favorites is Rumi’s Kitchen or Blue Ridge Grille. After a full Saturday, I’m always ready for a more laid-back Sunday cooking at home.

Casual Day: A workout at Burn Bootcamp Sandy Springs or Yogam and then grabbing an açaí bowl from Holly Bowls. We love cooking dinner at home (or ordering Heirloom BBQ) and ending the night by the fire, listening to music and catching up.

Sunday: Brunch at Alon’s or Goldberg’s, another neighborhood walk or Chastain loop, and then family time before gearing up for the week!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are far too many people to name, but I genuinely credit my success to the sales leaders, mentors, parents, and friends who shared their wisdom throughout my journey. One of the most influential figures was Sean Gordon, my first boss when I moved to Atlanta at 22 years old and joined InterCall. Sean was an exceptional leader — sharp, strategic, and someone I deeply admired. He taught me how to understand the financials behind the business and the real art of the deal. His influence shaped the foundation of my career, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent nearly seven years learning under his leadership so early on.
