We had the good fortune of connecting with Nilmar Atencio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nilmar, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would love for everyone to remember the self-love we owe ourselves in all aspects, and to remember me as the person who, wherever I was, always talked about how important it is to eat well, to exercise, and that trying gluten-free and sugar-free desserts is delicious without having to sacrifice flavors.

People who know me know how spiritual and healthy I am, they often ask me if I don’t get tired of eating the same thing, but this is a lifestyle and it’s been like this since I was a kid. My dad is vegan, my mom always cooked everything at home. I cried seeing these important details that made me take care of my health today and now I can offer healthy options on the market to those people who need or like healthy sweets.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Take a Peace! Offers healthy desserts. Today, you can find us at the Sandy Springs Farmers Market. It’s wonderful to be able to offer and see people’s faces when they try my product. Honestly, they can’t believe it tastes good even though it’s gluten-free or sugar-free. But that’s what my brand is all about: destroying those thoughts that a healthy product might not taste good. We make sure you try them and remain our loyal customers.

In our business, we offer different flavors with incredible combinations. We have our popular chocolate cake, as well as passion fruit with poppy seeds, strawberries and cream, and blueberry bundt cakes. The ingredients we use are organic, and we also add natural colorings, such as turmeric, beet powder, or spirulina.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take her to all the farmers markets, especially the one in Sandy Springs. It’s interesting to see so many beautiful local vendors there. Then we would visit Stone Mountain, and one of my favorite places to eat would be Del Bar and The Garden Room.

I also love a coffee shop called Lavande in Alpharetta, the coffee is delicious and it has very nice energy I would take her to those places, and last I’ll take her downtown to visit the aquarium.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I thank first of all God, my family, my friends, and my best friend Hector who have always believed in me. And my loyal customers who believed in me from day one.

I also thank you to Shoutout for allowing me to showcase my brand.

It’s nice to be able to identify those people who have always been there no matter what, along the way you always find people who help you, who support you, who give you ideas and that’s what it’s all about, helping each other, so I’m grateful to be where I am with nice people!
