Meet Epiphany Wells-Booker | CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Epiphany Wells-Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Epiphany, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Honestly? I didn’t exactly choose the creative path—it kind of snuck up on me and refused to let go. I have always been an artistic person but back in 2019 things changed. I was laser-focused on training to return to the women’s professional tennis tour after a major health scare with lupus. At the same time, I was tying up the last few credits for my undergrad degree. I was offered a opportunity to complete a large amount of credit if I completed one final assignments. The project was to document a topic of my choice. I was exhausted and ready to be done with school, so I said, “YES!” I picked something I thought would be easy: documenting life as a pro tennis player.
The plan was to film my 2020 comeback season post-recovery—so I went to Best Buy, grabbed the best camera my student budget could handle, and started capturing whatever I could. I had no idea what I was doing, but something about that lens lit me up. The angles, the emotion, the stillness and the movement—I fell in love with the process of telling stories visually.
Of course, 2020 had other plans (thanks, global pandemic), and my return to tour was deferred. But something amazing happened: I realized I wasn’t just filming me—I was uncovering a whole new version of me. One that saw beauty everywhere, who wanted to create, express, and share. The camera became more than a tool; it became a mirror, a canvas, a new court to play on.
So yeah, I didn’t chase the creative life—it found me. And thank God it did.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I want the world to know about Minnie Lee Studios is this: we’re all about celebrating what makes people distinctly them—especially small businesses and brands with big hearts and bold visions. Our mission is simple: creativity should be accessible, fun, and authentic. Whether we’re designing a logo, capturing a live event, or creative directing a full-on product launch, we’re showing up to make sure you—your story, your vibe, your essence—feel seen and celebrated.
We’re the team that’s blasting your favorite songs during shoots, hyping you up between takes, dancing while we work—and still delivering high-level, intentional visuals. Because we believe that joy and excellence can coexist. And honestly? That’s our sweet spot.
How did I get here? Three words: Love. Faith. Teamwork.
Love for the craft. Love for people. Love for storytelling.
Faith in myself, in this dream, and in the power of purpose.
And teamwork—because no matter how much vision you’ve got, trying to do this alone will drain you. I’m blessed with a small-but-mighty squad of creatives who show up with heart and imagination every time.
Has it been easy? Absolutely not. Being an entrepreneur is hard as hell. There were moments when I questioned everything. But I kept going because I knew this wasn’t just a job—it was a calling. And now, we get to use our gifts to help other people shine. That’s the win.
How did I get here? Three words: Love. Perseverance. Teamwork.
I love what I do—being able to capture someone’s essence, their beauty, their story—it fuels me. But let’s be real, being an entrepreneur is hard as hell. Without perseverance, this business would’ve folded a long time ago. And without my freaking amazing team? It might still be sitting on the drawing board.
We’re a small but mighty crew of creatives who lead with heart, imagination, and hustle. That’s our edge. And I’m incredibly proud of what we’re building—not just for ourselves, but for every client who trusts us to tell their story with style, soul, and substance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t know how to answer this question. When my friends come to town, we mostly just hang out at the house.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This journey hasn’t been a solo mission, so first and foremost—shoutout to my family. They’ve held me down through the chaos, the pivots, and the glow-ups. But if we’re naming names, my husband David deserves a standing ovation.
He’s the quiet MVP in the background, helping me shape ideas, edit concepts, and stay focused when my brain’s running in twelve directions. He’s pulled all-nighters with me, juggled the kids solo while I worked events, and somehow managed to launch his own business at the same time. (Yes, this is a shameless plug—Ajorken, go check it out!)
He’s never made me feel guilty for dreaming big. Instead, he’s added fuel to the fire and reminded me why I started. So if there’s a spotlight shining on me right now, it’s because he helped hold it up.
