We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Lance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew I wanted to start my own business. Growing up, I watched my parents retire early due to entrepreneurship, so it’s in my blood. I just wasn’t exactly sure what business it would be for me. I wanted something that aligned with my personality, allowed me to bring joy to others, and, most importantly, was a smart investment with low overhead costs and affordable equipment to get started.

As I explored different opportunities, I came across the 360 photobooth industry and was immediately intrigued. I enjoy planning gathering events so it was right up my alley. It was fun, interactive, and in high demand for events, making it the perfect fit. I saw the potential not only to create a profitable business but also to offer an experience that would make celebrations even more memorable.

Another key factor in my decision was scalability. I wanted a business I could eventually hire an assistant for, so I wouldn’t always have to be hands-on at every event. This would allow me to grow while maintaining a good work-life balance.

From that vision, Aced It 360 Photo Booth was born. Now, I get to bring energy and excitement to events while building something meaningful for myself. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to see where it continues to go!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Aced It 360 Photo Booth is just one of several business ideas I have in mind, but it has been an exciting and rewarding venture. What sets my business apart is the experience I create for my clients. It’s not just about capturing moments—it’s about making events unforgettable. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or birthday celebration, I take pride in providing top-tier service and ensuring guests have a blast.

One of the things I’m most excited about is how this business will allow me to generate income that I can funnel into other ventures. It’s been a stepping stone toward bigger goals so far, and I’m excited about the opportunities it will continue to create. However, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. The event services industry, especially the photobooth sector, is constantly evolving. Newer technology and equipment emerge quickly, making it tough to stay ahead of trends but with our amazing customer experience, we continue to receive referrals and repeat business.

I’ve learned that success in this space requires being open to change, staying informed about industry shifts, and continuously standing out & improving the customer experience. Patience and persistence have been key, and I’ve had to navigate setbacks while keeping my long-term vision in mind.

What I want others to know is that my brand is built on passion, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Aced It 360 Photo Booth isn’t just a business, it’s a part of a bigger dream. This is just the beginning, and I look forward to growing, evolving, and bringing even more creative ideas to life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Georgia Peach so if my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure she got the full experience of the ATL, good food, culture, adventure, and a little bit of everything that makes this city special.

Since I’m a foodie at heart, we’d kick things off with some good Sushi from Nakatos or we’d also check out Lee + White Food Hall for a variety of options!! There is always something delicious to try. To walk it off, we’d take a scenic stroll down the Beltline, soaking in the street art, popping into Ponce City Market for a little shopping, and maybe grabbing a drink at one of the rooftop bars for a skyline view.

For some high-energy fun, we’d go line dancing at a trail ride festival! Nothing beats music, the energy, and a good vibe. We’d also make time for a High Frequency Friday at the High Museum, where art and music come together in the best way. And for a more relaxing night, a candlelight concert would be the perfect way to enjoy some music in a unwinding type of environment.

Throughout the week, we’d mix in some adventure, maybe an escape room challenge or beat the bomb, or taking it back to our good and faithful Six Flags. And of course, no visit would be complete without hitting up a few local brunch spots, catching a live music performance, and just enjoying the culture and creativity that make this city so special.

By the time the trip ends, my best friend would leave with a full stomach, sore feet from all the dancing and exploring, and a phone full of unforgettable memories with her Bestie!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, I owe my success to my parents. I’ve watched them grind my entire life, showing me firsthand what hard work, dedication, and perseverance look like. Their example instilled in me the mindset that anything is possible with God, determination, and faith.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned from them is that time is precious, and even more meaningful when you have the ability to choose how you spend it. That realization played a huge role in my decision to start my own business. I wanted the freedom to build something of my own while still being present for the moments that truly matter.

Beyond their inspiration, my parents have been hands-on in supporting my journey. From day one of launching Aced It 360 Photo Booth, they’ve been my biggest cheerleaders. They’ve helped market my business, spread the word, and my mom has even been right beside me, assisting at multiple events in my first year. Their belief in me and their unwavering support have made all the difference, and I’m beyond grateful for them.
