Meet Jessica Johnson | Brand Owner, Creative Director and Business Development Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“How you do anything is how you do everything.”
This quote resonates deeply with me because it highlights the significance of every action, no matter how big or small. Every detail deserves respect, attention, and care.
With j.lindsey SWIM, I set out to cultivate a brand that embodies this philosophy—a culture where showing up as your best self is not just encouraged but second nature. Classy, structured, yet effortlessly flirty and fun, our designs reflect the belief that dressing well is a form of good manners—a way to show appreciation for both yourself and those around you.
My friends often joke that I’m the one who’s always overdressed—a reputation I wear with pride. In a way, I’ve created my own legacy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always enjoyed client-facing roles. Though naturally an introvert, I’ve found that my ability to create a calm, welcoming presence and make others feel at ease has become something of a superpower. Past employers have described me as having a “quiet confidence”—a trait I’ve come to appreciate and fully embrace with time.
These qualities naturally led me to a career in business development and sales, where building relationships is at the core of success. Beyond that, I have a passion for curating intimate gatherings and fostering meaningful, mutually beneficial connections, bringing organizations and causes together in a way that feels both seamless and intentional.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good Atlanta staycation, and I’d have to start at my favorite hotel—the newly opened FORTH Hotel in Atlanta’s Historic Fourth Ward. With its resort-style patio and pool, Mediterranean-inspired daytime menu, and poolside cocktail service, FORTH offers a luxurious yet laid-back escape right in the heart of the city.
If it isn’t already obvious, I have a deep love for Mediterranean cuisine, so dinner at Rumi’s Kitchen at Colony Square is a must. And for brunch? There’s a particular dish at Delbar in Inman Park that I’d love my guest to experience.
For a fun night out, we’d have to stop by Rock Steady—the vibe is always warm and inviting, with great music, good energy, and even better company.
And no staycation is complete without a little movement! I’d book a Pilates class for two at The Studio Pilates in West Midtown or simply take in the city with some people-watching on the BeltLine.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to the many influential women in my life—especially my mom. So much of who I am is a direct reflection of her—soft yet strong, intelligent yet humble, creative yet grounded.
j.lindsey SWIM is the perfect fusion of my childhood, filled with travel, and my adult appreciation for fashion as a form of self-expression. My personal style has often been described as timeless, feminine, sophisticated, and understated—qualities I’ve intentionally woven into the look, feel, and aesthetic of my brand.
