Meet Princess Banks | Red Carpet Host and Media Correspondent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Princess Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Princess, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and brand is authenticity and consistency. Staying true to my vision, being intentional about building genuine connections, and showing up consistently in my work have been key.
I’ve always believed in creating spaces where people, especially entrepreneurs, creatives, and media professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow. Whether it’s through networking events, media hosting, or my podcast, I focus on real conversations and meaningful impact.
Faith also plays a major role. Trusting my journey, even when the path isn’t clear, has helped me push through challenges and continue building. Success isn’t overnight, but staying purpose-driven, resilient, and open to learning has been my winning formula.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my authenticity, versatility, and ability to create meaningful connections. I don’t just attend events or conduct interviews I curate experiences, ask the real questions, and bring people together in spaces where they feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether I’m on the red carpet, hosting a panel, or running a networking event, my goal is to create impact and open doors for others.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come without a blueprint. Moving to Atlanta to pursue media was a leap of faith, and within months, I was working with major brands, proving that when you align with your purpose, opportunities come. I’m also excited about expanding my brand in new ways, whether it’s through media hosting, red carpet interviews, my Business Bestie Meetups, my podcast CEO Confessions Show on YouTube or upcoming collaborations. Every project I take on is rooted in my passion for storytelling, building community, and creating spaces where people can thrive.
But the journey hasn’t been easy. There’s no roadmap for success in media, and I had to learn through trial and error. I’ve faced challenges like navigating the industry without a mentor, dealing with people who only want to use my connections, and overcoming self-doubt. Prayer, discernment, and staying true to my vision have helped me push through.
Lessons I’ve learned? Faith and consistency will take you further than talent alone. Not everyone will support you, and that’s okay. The right people will find you. Also, relationships matter. This industry isn’t just about who you know, but who genuinely believes in your work.
What I want the world to know is that I’m just getting started. My brand is about more than just media, it’s about inspiring, creating opportunities, and showing that dreams are possible. I’m here to shake things up, to elevate Black stories, and to build a legacy that lasts. Stay tuned, because there’s so much more to come!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give credit and recognition to God first and foremost for guiding my journey and giving me the strength to keep going. My faith has been the foundation of everything I’ve built.
I also want to acknowledge my parents and family for their love, support, and the values they instilled in me. They’ve played a huge role in shaping who I am, and their belief in me has kept me grounded through every step of my journey.
Beyond that, my support system, the genuine friends, business besties, and mentors (even the ones in my head like Oprah, La La Anthony, and Terrence J) have inspired me to keep pushing. While finding true mentorship has been a challenge, I’ve been blessed with people who pour into me, encourage me, and remind me of my purpose.
Lastly, every person who has ever supported my brand, whether by attending my events, watching my interviews, reading my features, or simply believing in my vision, deserves recognition. Their support fuels my passion, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to impact others through my work.
