We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Rumiantseva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I first picked up a camera 16 years ago, and at the time, I never imagined it would turn into a full-fledged career. Back then, photography was simply a hobby—something I did because I loved capturing the world around me. It was my way of expressing myself and seeing life through a different lens. At first, I didn’t intend to turn it into a business. It was just something that brought me joy, a creative outlet that kept me grounded. As time went on, however, my love for photography only deepened. The more I immersed myself in it, the more I realized how much it resonated with me. It wasn’t just about taking pictures anymore—it became about telling stories, freezing moments in time, and connecting with people through images. That passion naturally evolved into something more than just a hobby. I started to get opportunities to shoot for others, and before I knew it, what began as a personal interest gradually blossomed into a professional career. Now, looking back, I feel incredibly grateful that photography has become such an integral part of my life. What’s amazing is that even after all these years, it still doesn’t feel like a job. It’s something I genuinely love to do, and every new project still excites me like it did in the beginning. Photography isn’t just my career; it’s a way of life, a lifelong passion that I can’t imagine ever being without.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an American artist and professional photographer specializing in Family, Maternity, Macro, artistic and Landscape photography.

16 years ago, I decided to pick up a camera for the first time. Then, I didn’t know where to start. Since light is the most important thing in photography, the decision was made to shoot still life. I am an engineer by trade, therefore, the arts were not something I had experience in. Step by step I mastered the principles of composition and different types of lighting. I looked through the works of other authors, and Dutch artists, looking for how to set the light.
After only a month of hard work and study, I took first place on the European social platform “My World” for my work “Duet”. The first victory inspired me, and then the HDR landscapes of other authors inspired me as well, so I decided to try my HDR at landscape photography.
After six months of shooting landscapes, I was a multiple winner of international competitions, repeatedly included in the top 10 best photographers on the Google+ platform.
On my list some landscapes were purchased by the Santa Fe Museum – Loretto Chapel, and the New York Museum of Art for display.
Since then I have been deeply immersed in the world of photography. I tried to challenge myself in different areas of – sports, reportage photography, beauty, portrait, newborn, and seed photography.
In 2019 I had my First Personal Art Show
In 2021, I was included in the top 10 children’s photographers of the London magazine “Pretty Little Pozer Magazine”
2022 in Alpharetta City Hall, I had another Personal Art Show “Mariupol the city that doesn’t exist”
In 2022 I opened a Photo Studio, “AR Photostudio”. Located in Roswell GA
I have a lot of interesting projects. One of them is the “Ukrainian Ethnic Calendar”. This project is especially dear to me because it reflects the culture and history of my homeland.
I work with many companies such as Omni, Devry University, AIKO Inc., and Addington Jewelers, and I do outstanding work for several Real estate agencies and Designers. My art has received numerous international and local awards. I am recognized and published in many magazines from Europe, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Georgia for my wonderful landscape and family photos.
Photography for me is not just a job. This is the language with which I can tell, show, and convey what I see through the lens of my camera.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am self-taught. On my journey from amateur to professional, I read a lot of literature, looked through historical and contemporary world masterpieces of art, and studied the history of the development of world art. Desire, knowledge, and proper goal-setting helped me grow.
