We had the good fortune of connecting with Cade Boling and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cade, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
From a young age, I knew I wanted to forge my own path and pursue something beyond a traditional job. During the COVID pandemic, I discovered my passion for photography and saw an opportunity to transform that passion into a career. With my long-standing love for cars, starting Boling.Media allowed me to merge my two greatest interests—photography and automotive content—into a professional business that I could build and grow independently.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work focuses on a clean, commercial style designed to elevate whatever I photograph, whether it’s a vehicle, a portrait, a fashion piece, or an athlete in action. My ultimate goal is to ensure that each subject is presented in its best light, capturing the details, energy, and essence that make it stand out. For automotive photography, it’s about showcasing the design and personality of the vehicle. In portraits and fashion, I strive to highlight the individuality of the subject and the beauty of the clothing. Sports photography allows me to capture the intensity and passion of the athlete, freezing moments of skill and determination.
Building Boling.Media has been a journey of growth and persistence, especially since I started the business while still in high school. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was overcoming the perception that I was too young to be taken seriously as a professional. Many potential clients hesitated to trust me simply because of my age. However, I refused to let that define me. By consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting new people, I’ve built a reputation that speaks for itself. Today, my work is my greatest advocate, and most clients no longer even think to ask about my age. It’s been rewarding to see how far I’ve come from those initial struggles.
At the heart of Boling.Media is a commitment to my clients. This business is about more than just photography—it’s about creating images that my clients are proud of and that achieve their vision. Whether I’m working with an individual, a brand, or an organization, my goal is to exceed expectations and deliver images that not only look great but also tell a story.
Boling.Media represents a blend of passion, professionalism, and client-focused service. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about the experience of working together to create something exceptional. I want the world to know that this brand is built on dedication to craft and a genuine desire to help clients showcase their best.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Although I’m from Woodstock, I don’t live in the downtown area of Atlanta, but I’m still deeply connected to the charm and community that Woodstock and Towne Lake offer. If my best friend were visiting, I’d plan a week-long trip that takes them to the best spots in both Woodstock and Towne Lake, giving them a great mix of food, activities, and the vibrant culture of the area.
**Day 1: Exploring Downtown Woodstock**
We’d start with breakfast at *Copper Coin Coffee*, a great spot for coffee and a light bite. Then, we’d stroll through Downtown Woodstock, checking out the boutique shops and galleries. For lunch, *Reel Seafood* is a must for some fresh seafood. In the evening, we’d grab dinner at *Century House Tavern*, known for its upscale Southern cuisine, followed by drinks and live music at *MadLife Stage & Studios*.
**Day 2: Nature and Outdoor Adventures**
We’d spend the day exploring *Olde Rope Mill Park* or hiking the trails at *Dupree Park*. For lunch, we’d hit *Gondolier Pizza* for some casual Italian fare. Later, we’d enjoy some outdoor relaxation by the lake in Towne Lake, and for dinner, *Salt Factory Pub* offers a cozy vibe with excellent food.
**Day 3: Towne Lake Fun**
We’d spend the day around Towne Lake, starting with breakfast at *J. Christopher’s*. Afterward, maybe play a round of mini-golf or hit the driving range at *Towne Lake Hills Golf Club*. For lunch, *The Daily Draft* is a fun sports bar with great food. Dinner would be at *Canyon’s Burger Company*—you can’t go wrong with their burgers.
**Day 4: Day Trip to Atlanta**
If they’re up for a day trip, we’d head into Atlanta, which is only about 30 minutes away. We’d visit the *Georgia Aquarium*, *Piedmont Park*, or the *Atlanta Botanical Garden*. Lunch would be at *Ponce City Market*, where we could sample a variety of cuisines. Back in Woodstock, we’d cap off the night with a late dinner at *PURE Taqueria* for some amazing tacos and margaritas.
**Day 5: Shopping and Relaxation**
We’d dedicate this day to shopping at *The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta* in Woodstock. After a morning of retail therapy, we’d grab lunch at *Freight Kitchen & Tap*, which offers a fantastic farm-to-table menu. In the afternoon, we’d unwind at *Reformation Brewery* with some craft beer and a laid-back vibe.
**Day 6: Local History and Entertainment**
A visit to *Elm Street Cultural Arts Village* for a show or gallery exhibit would be on the itinerary. For lunch, *Ipp’s Pastaria* offers delicious Italian dishes. We’d spend the evening bowling or playing arcade games at *Stars and Strikes* in Towne Lake, followed by dinner at *Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza & Grill*.
**Day 7: Brunch and Farewell**
On the final day, we’d have a farewell brunch at *Rootstock & Vine* in Downtown Woodstock. Depending on their departure time, we’d spend a relaxing morning visiting any favorite spots they’d like to revisit.
Woodstock and Towne Lake offer a blend of small-town charm and modern amenities, making it the perfect place to create lasting memories with friends.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my family, who have always supported and encouraged me in pursuing my passions. Their belief in me gave me the confidence to take risks and follow my dreams. I also want to recognize the mentors and peers I’ve connected with at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), who continuously inspire me and push me to grow as both an artist and an entrepreneur. Lastly, I’d like to acknowledge the photography community as a whole—through online resources, books, and shared experiences, I’ve been able to learn, adapt, and refine my craft. Each of these influences has played a vital role in shaping who I am today.
