We had the good fortune of connecting with Keves Collier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keves, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Money is always a thing people go for when deciding to start a business and to be fair that’s understandable. My biggest thing was having control over my life and being able to do something I was passionate about rather than put so much time and energy into something that wouldn’t yield me what I desired.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting my own clothing brand wasn’t easy. Everyone starts their own brand and anyone can print on shirts and hoodies you know? The one thing that I wanted to do was add much more style and flare to my designs and products. I didn’t want them to look average. I wanted something that was gym but cool and cute to wear at the same time. Getting here took months of work. Spending a lot of money, learning to advertise, learning my niche, getting models, getting designs, etc. You just have to be willing to go through the pain of learning. Overcoming these things will never be easy and even till this day I always wonder if I should stop but I know that’s not what needs to be done. That’s the easy way out. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that if you want to reach a goal then life will test you to see if you really want it. If there was something I want everyone to know about my brand, it’s that I do it with passion and intention. Being a gym guy is hard and a lot of my clothes are gym related so trying to find some style there can be difficult and I understand it. I want to bridge that gap.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a very difficult question for me as I don’t get out at all really. But I think I would take him a couple restaurants I’ve been too: Louisiana Bistro, Zeke’s Kitchen, Stony River, and probably Yoi Yoi for sushi.

Some activities I like are going to too golf, bowling, visiting The Works, and probably taking a walk around the city to find new things.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All of my models and athletes I’ve brought deserve the upmost credit for being there for all the shoots I needed and getting all the content for me when asked. They are the ones that really set up visuals for me.
