We had the good fortune of connecting with Triggerrun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TRIGGERRUN, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Simply to never give up on your dreams as they are a part of you as a collective whole. Living life without attempting to accomplish your dreams is merely wasted energy. Moreover, regardless of whether you fail or succeed, only the ego gauges the level. However, not trying is automatic failure of the gift that lies within. So you owe it to yourself to nuture and birth it as the creative master just out of pure love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
TRIGGERRUN (TRP) is a multi-talented group of individuals [Herbert Bowens Jr, A. K. Washington & Nathaniel Whitfield] who have successfully battled their way through the perils of the industry as an independent musical artist/group and deviation into the independent film industry.

Collectively, the most proud moments is the group’s inaugurational journey during their first nationalized appearance at the World’s Famous “Showtime At The Apollo” hosted by King’s of Comedy legend Steve Harvey.

Individual success into the major film industry was achieved by Herbert “H3TheArtist” Bowens appearing in a few subtle on screen cameo’s in the blockbuster hit “Stomp The Yard” and “Drum Line”.

TRP has also been blessed to perform and share the national stage with a few of the culture’s Hip-Hops icons such as Charlie Wilson, SWV, Ashanti, Ja Rule and ATL hometown artist, Ying Yang Twins just to name a few.

In 2024, the group would reach another major milestone as winner of one of the most prestigious awards in Independent Music as “King of Stage” presented by Yo!ATLRaps.

Through perseverance, hard work and determination, and the grace of the MOST HIGH, the group has survived the many obstacles that have presented itself during the group’s journey.

The journey definitely was challenging as we stopped along the way to raise family and venture off into other individual projects and explored our own individual paths before rejoining in 2021.

Our collective love for music was the common denominator that would eventually bring the group back together as we missed the camaraderie and the magic of being a collective whole.

The lessons learned along the way is simple “Do what you love and love what you do”. God has blessed you with a talent and a gift that he entrusted to you to birth to help make life’s journey worth living so it’s part of who your are and your own individual holistic therapy.

TRIGGERRUN is simply brand ambassadors of the “Feel Good” music genre. Our goal is to return the “trap” back to the true essence of Hip-Hop with the community and thus focusing on unity in the hoods throughout the culture nationwide!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First off, safety is the utmost priority however experiencing the ATL culture is #1.

First and foremost, shout out to the Supreme-being and creator GOD for the gift of entertainment.
