Hi Shaela, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Hair By Juicey LLC as a versatile hairstylist specializing in high hair care and a range of different services likely lies in my consistency, authenticity, and commitment to continuously improving my craft. Consistency helps build trust with my clients, ensuring they know they can rely on me for high-quality service every time.
With that said bypassing procrastination and overthinking is something I had to learn. Now I’m able to stay focused on my goals and execute my vision, which ultimately drives the growth in my business. My versatility in offering a wide range of services also positions me as a go-to professional for various hair care needs, catering to a broader audience and keeping my business adaptable to trends and client preferences. Combining these elements helped me build a strong reputation, loyalty, and sustained success in the beauty industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a hairstylist, one of the best aspects of being in the beauty industry is the opportunity to connect with so many people and make a positive impact on their lives. Helping someone feel beautiful, confident, and empowered is a privilege that never gets old. It’s also a creative and dynamic field where I get to express my artistry and constantly learn new techniques, trends, and innovations. Every day is different, and I thrive on the energy and passion this industry brings.
What separates me from others is my commitment to my clients not just on a professional level but on a personal one. I see every appointment as an opportunity to build a meaningful connection. My work isn’t just about creating styles it’s about creating experiences that leave people feeling better than when they walked in. It fuels my perseverance and reminds me that I’m not just in the hair industry, but in the business of uplifting others.

I’d describe myself as passionate, determined, and faithful. I’m someone who doesn’t back down from challenges, who believes in the power of hard work & consistency, and who strives to bring light and positivity wherever I go. I’m most proud of the progress I’ve made since I started this journey from a little girl doing hair at 12 years old to the woman, I’ve become today professional. It hasn’t been an easy road, but every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today. I’m excited about the future the new opportunities, relationships, and milestones that await me.

A young girl with a passion for hair, I had to learn early on that passion alone isn’t enough if I really want this hair business to strive. It took countless hours of practice, patience, and perseverance. Every setback taught me something valuable, whether it was about discipline, resilience, or gratitude. I had moments of doubt, times when I questioned whether I was on the right path, but I stayed consistent, put in the work, devoted more time to learning myself, new techniques to help me stay focused and build my brand. There were lessons along the way learning to be patient with myself, to accept failure as a stepping stone, and to trust God’s timing even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture.

I want the world to know that my brand is built off faith & work, because faith without work is dead. It’s a reflection of my journey, the strength I didn’t know I had until I faced challenges head on. My brand stands for perseverance, resilience consistency, and the power of believing that anything is possible when you combine faith with hard work. Throughout this journey, I even graduated college this year with a Major in Science Biology & Minor in Pre-Dental on April 20,2024 which just so happens to be my four-year business anniversary. Some would say a coincidence I say nothing but God. This isn’t just a business it’s a testimony. It’s proof that no matter where you start or how difficult the road is, with faith, action & dedication, you CAN achieve greatness. I’m here today because of God, and I want my story to inspire others to trust Him, stay on the right course, and believe in their OWN potential.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I just want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to everyone who has supported me along my journey as a hairstylist- first I want to give thanks to God, my family, friends, clients, mentors, and even strangers who’ve encouraged me along the way. So, without all of you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m coming up on my five-year anniversary in the beauty industry, April 20, 2020; and I’m just so blessed to have come this far. Your support means the world to me, and I appreciate every bit of it. Thank you all for being a part of my story.
