Meet Tameka Triggs | Social Media Fashion Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tameka Triggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tameka, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been fascinated by how creativity can transform abstract ideas into something tangible and impactful. From a young age, I was drawn to fashion and I found it to be a way to express myself and communicate ideas that words alone couldn’t convey. I would cut up clothing to make outfits for my baby dolls. For me, creativity in fashion isn’t just about making something beautiful- it’s about creating work that resonates with others and sparks a conversation. I find it incredibly fulfilling to see how my work can inspire, challenge, or even entertain people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart from others, is my ability to not allow myself to be boxed in to certain standards (age, size, culture, profession, i .e.) I am very detail oriented and I blend that with my creativity and passion for fashion. I am proud of my resilience and ability to stay focused under pressure. I’ve learned to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, which has helped me navigate tough situations without losing sight of my goals.
My journey as a social media influencer started with a genuine passion for fashion and beauty. I was always sharing my outfits, my thoughts, experiences, and tips on social media just for fun, and I quickly realized that people were responding to the content I was creating. That feedback motivated me to take it more seriously.
At first, it was a matter of trial and error. I posted consistently, trying different types of content to see what resonated with my audience. I spent a lot of time learning about SEO, photography, and editing to improve the quality of my posts. Over time, I began to understand my audience better and that helped me refine my approach.
One of the biggest challenges is gaining traction. Social media can be very competitive, and building an authentic audience takes time. I have to stay consistent and find creative ways to engage with my followers even when the growth was slower than I’d hoped. But I never gave up, and eventually things started to snowball.
A turning point for me and one of my proudest moments, was when I partnered with Dove (which is one of my favorite brands), which helped me reach a wider audience. Another milestone was when I started focusing on creating content that wasn’t just promotional, but also authentic and relatable to my audience. This shift has helped me to build a loyal community.
“I want the world to know that my brand {TomekiatheTrendyTeacher} is built on authenticity, creativity, and inclusivity. At its core, my brand is all about empowering individuals to embrace their uniqueness and express themselves without fear of judgment. Whether through fashion, lifestyle, or content, I aim to inspire confidence and promote positive self-expression. “
“I strive to offer something different by focusing not just on the external, but on nurturing inner confidence and authenticity. I believe that true beauty and success come from being real and embracing your journey, no matter where it takes you.”
“I want my brand to be a force for good—whether that means encouraging people to make more sustainable choices, supporting mental health awareness, or simply giving people the tools and inspiration to live their best lives. My goal is to create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and inspired to make positive changes, both in themselves and the world around them.”
“What I want people to know is that my brand is a reflection of my own journey—of overcoming self-doubt, embracing my passions, and striving to be better every day. It’s about authenticity, growth, and creating a space where everyone feels like they belong. Everything I create is something I truly believe in and am passionate about.”
“I want the world to know that my brand is here to inspire, uplift, and make a difference. I invite everyone to join me on this journey—whether by following along, engaging with my content, or simply sharing in the mission to create a more inclusive, positive, and empowered world.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came town, we would definitely hit up some of the best brunch spots. A couple of my favorite restaurants for brunch include Gritz Brunch Bar and Breakfast at Barney’s. I am a science enthusiast so we might have cocktails at the Georgia Aquarium or check out Illumninights at Zoo Atlanta. We might catch an Atlanta Hawks game at State Farm Arena and swing by Suite Food Lounge for some grown and sexy vibes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Alvin, because he’s always there to support me, motivate me, and give me the extra push I need when I feel like giving up on my dreams.
