We had the good fortune of connecting with Open Relationship Podcast and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Open Relationship Podcast, what do you attribute your success to?
Open Relationship Podcast was specifically created to be a voice for Black Gay Men and other POC in the LGBTQ+ community. The co-hosts are four individuals who come from different backgrounds with different life experiences and different perspectives. We have committed to having open and honest conversations with each other and building our friendship in the public eye (weekly).

Yes, we began as strangers and have grown a meaningful friendship through laughs, DA Letter, and occasional libations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a podcast we owe our success to CONSISTENCY. We have been recording WEEKLY for 2.5 to 3 years and we discuss the things that are important to us and the community-at-large. We cover topics from everything from politics to porn….

To be honest, we haven’t been without our own share of drama. Many people were surprised that Season 2 brought new faces and new energy. But with any relationship, breakups happen and seasons change.

Rodney and Solomon welcomed Marco Deprence and Shazam to the table and we’ve been growing ever since.

Lessons: Whatever you say on camera can be used against you later! “Play the tape back!”

We hope that our Openers and the world-at-large sees themselves in our conversations. We aim to be a safe place where anyone can be heard, be seen, and feel welcome.

Our first LIVE in-person show is Aug 29, 2024 – Doors open at 7:15pm
Venue: The Network ATL
1556 Nabell Ave, East Point, Ga 30344

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Monday – Cirque Daiquiri Bar for seafood and Daiquiris
Tuesday – Friends Neighborhood Bar at 10:00pm after we record the podcast
Wednesday – REST & RECHARGE
Thursday – The High Museum for a little art
Friday – Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen for a Coastal-style meal and drinks
Saturday – Take a walk down The Beltline for an afternoon exercise and snacks
Sunday – Chattahoochee Works Food Hall for a variety of food options

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to shoutout our “Fifth (5th) Seat.” When we began Open relationship Podcast it was with the hope that there would be more than just the four of us speaking our minds. The 5th Seat is our Opener Community who have been rocking with us from day one! It has been amazing watching the growth of the community; they don’t just interact with us, but they participate with each other, laugh with each other, encourage each other, show up for each other.
