We had the good fortune of connecting with Yifat Bloch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yifat, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Being a homeopath is a calling. It stems from a deep need to help others through a unique and effective form of healing. Homeopathy’s main principle, “like treats like,” means that substances causing symptoms in a healthy person can treat those symptoms in an ill person. My journey began when I first saw the benefits of homeopathic care with my children. The positive impact was so profound that I was intrigued and compelled to learn more. My husband introduced me to homeopathy, and together, we embraced its healing powers. This shared commitment strengthened my resolve.
Initially, I immersed myself in books and magazines on the subject. After a few years, when my life became more stable, I decided to pursue formal education. I enrolled in “The School of Homeopathy” in the UK, a reputable institution dedicated to this field. Homeopathy is not just a profession; it is a way of life. It involves choosing to work with the body’s own healing power and adopting a holistic approach to health.
After graduating with four years of study and completing a two-year internship, I felt prepared to help others regain better health.
Starting this business was challenging, as homeopathy is not widely familiar or accepted by the mainstream. However, I firmly believe in its benefits and am committed to providing this valuable service. My goal is to help others experience the profound healing that homeopathy offers, just as my family did.
What should our readers know about your business?
What Sets Me Apart:
Being a homeopath is more than just prescribing remedies; it’s about truly being there for my clients. My approach is holistic and personalized, it’s an investigation in finding our essence. Here’s what sets my practice apart:
1. Deep Listening and Understanding:
Comprehensive Consultations: I take the time to listen to my clients’ life story, understanding their physical, mental, and emotional sufferings.
Individualized Care: Every person is unique, and so is their treatment plan. I consider the whole person to find the most suitable remedy.
2. Continuous Support:
Ongoing Availability: I am always available to answer questions and adjust treatments as needed between consultations.
Regular Follow-Ups: When dealing with chronic issues, Initially, we meet every 4-6 weeks to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. As improvements are achieved, the frequency of meetings decreases. It’s up to my client to decide when we meet again but I strongly recommend ongoing support every 2-3 months.
3. Compassion and Empathy:
Building Trust: My relationship with clients extends beyond consultations. I strive to be a compassionate observer, empathetic to their journey, and dedicated to their healing. The healing process starts with Love.
Business Journey and Challenges
Starting and growing my homeopathic practice has been a journey of perseverance and continuous learning. It was not and still isn’t an easy path, and here’s how I navigate through the challenges:
1. Gaining Knowledge and Expertise:
Ongoing Education: I dedicated myself to extensive study and continuous learning, beyond my homeopathic training which also includes intensive courses in Anatomy, physiology, pathology and disease. I spend my spare time expanding my knowledge. I’m certified in Bach Flower Therapy, Gemmotherapy, Nutrition and much more.
Experience: Practical experience through consultations and internships helped me develop the necessary skills to identify the right remedies among thousands of choices. Mentorship and Study groups were a big part in the first steps of my career.
2. Overcoming Skepticism:
In today’s fast-paced world, people are accustomed to quick fixes, especially in healthcare. It’s important to shift this mindset by:
Explaining the Philosophy: Helping clients appreciate that homeopathy works with our bodies own healing power, which is a more sustainable approach than merely suppressing symptoms. It strengthens our body and mind in such a profound way.
Sharing Success Stories: Providing real-life examples of how homeopathy has helped others can be very reassuring and motivational for new clients. Check my website blog for real stories. I’m trying to add stories when ever time allows, so there are not too many, even after 8 years. My priority is my client first and foremost.
Building Trust: Developing a trusting relationship where clients feel comfortable discussing the progress and any doubts they might have.
Building Credibility: Many clients come to me after trying conventional medical treatments. Demonstrating the effectiveness of homeopathy through their improvement helps build trust and credibility.
3. Patience and Persistence:
Long-Term Commitment: Homeopathic treatment requires patience and persistence, both from me and my clients. It’s about understanding that true healing takes time.
Client Trust: It’s an honor when clients place their trust in me and the process. Seeing improvements in their health and having other family members choose to start treatment as well is extremely gratifying.
Lessons Learned
1. Holistic Approach: Treating the whole person rather than just symptoms lead to more effective and sustainable healing.
2. Continuous Learning: The field of homeopathy is vast and always evolving with new remedies and tools for investigation. Staying updated and constantly learning is crucial.
3. Building Relationships: Developing strong, trust-based relationships with clients is key to successful treatment outcomes. Having a network of homeopaths to brainstorm with is very helpful both professionally and personally, it’s building a support system for the one giving care as well.
What I Want the World to Know
• Homeopathy is a Journey: It’s a process that works with the body’s own healing power, requiring patience and a holistic approach. It’s deep and profound and when the right remedy is found changes can be observed fast. Expectations needs to be set since age and severity of issues are a factor in the healing journey.
• Personal Commitment: My commitment to my clients goes beyond professional duty. It’s about compassion, empathy, and being there for them at every step.
• Gratifying Results: The improvements in my clients’ health and the trust they place in me are the most rewarding aspects of my work.
My Brand and Story
My brand is built on the principles of trust, empathy, and holistic healing. I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve better health through personalized homeopathic care. It’s a privilege to be a part of their healing journey and to witness the positive changes in their lives.
When I finished my studies I was very excited, thrilled and sure I can help everyone, as this is such a wonderful and effective healing modality, but as I started my practice I learned I can’t help everyone, some people have difficult time waiting for the improvement to come. The older we get, our body’s ability to heal reduces and the healing takes longer to be archived. Some times there are many layers that needs to be cleared before the improvement a person want’s to see can be achieved. Sometimes 2 meeting is all it takes for the client to achieve the improvement they seek.
In Homeopathy it’s about the homeopath and the person seeking this service, how committed we are to the process. I’m always fully committed and eager to help. The healing process starts with love.
