We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Kirkland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabrina, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Telling my story. The story of Sabrina reads like a well-read novel. Why? Because my story is in every family. Of course, I thought I was the only one until I started sharing it with others. Then I realized it wasn’t just my narrative, it wasn’t just my trauma, and it wasn’t just my shame or embarrassment. It became ours. Some stories are more horrific than others, but the write-up is still the same…sexual abuse. Yeah, I’m talking about the monster in the home that is ripping families apart. The monster that no one wants to talk about even though it is wreaking havoc and destroying the moral fibers of our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

I promised The FATHER if HE freed me, I would be a voice for others, and I did, it was easy until I had to share my testimony. Now that, was difficult, very difficult.
