We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
A conventional saying I kindly disagree with is “never let them see you sweat.” I believe in embracing our human side, including our imperfections and moments of vulnerability. It’s through authenticity and openness that we can cultivate genuine connections and build a supportive community around us.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, Lux Body Care, is more than just a skincare brand—it’s a reflection of my journey and values. What sets us apart is our commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility. As someone who grew up in foster care, I understand the importance of self-care and feeling confident in one’s skin. That’s why I created Lux Body Care—to provide luxurious, effective skincare products that everyone can afford.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I faced numerous challenges along the way, from navigating the competitive skincare market to building brand awareness. However, my resilience and determination propelled me forward. I overcame these obstacles by staying focused on my goals, seeking mentorship, and continuously learning and adapting.

One of the lessons I’ve learned is the power of community and collaboration. By building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, I’ve been able to grow Lux Body Care into a thriving business. Additionally, I’ve learned the importance of giving back. That’s why a portion of our proceeds goes towards supporting foster care organizations, feeding the homeless, and advocating for senior citizens in need.

What I want the world to know about Lux Body Care is that it’s more than just skincare—it’s a movement. It’s about embracing self-love, resilience, and empowerment. My story is a testament to the fact that no matter where you come from, you can achieve your dreams with hard work, perseverance, and a little bit of luxury.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a foodie! If my friend visited the Atlanta area for a week, I’d make sure to highlight some of the best local food places, including various businesses that I’ve discovered, including vegan and vegetarian options. We’d start in Duluth, grabbing breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit Company before heading to Marietta to explore historic downtown, perhaps stopping by a local bookstore or cafe, like Xtraction Vegan Cafe. We can’t leave out Alpharetta and South Main Kitchen, Palm 78 or Eggroll Boyz, Then, we’d venture into Atlanta for dinner at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint for dinner and a show!
Another day, we’d visit Stone Mountain for outdoor adventures and enjoy dinner at an eatery like Stone Mountain Public House or Gocha’s Breakfast Bar.

We’d make an effort to support and celebrate the diverse array of businesses in the Atlanta & surrounding areas.

I want to give a big shoutout to my amazing customers, whose stories of how my products have positively impacted their lives never fail to warm my heart and reassure me that I’m making a difference.
